Today at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Sporting KC added two new players to their roster ahead of the start of preseason next week. Not needing to draft a specific player that would be required to come in and fill a need, KC was able to look a few different directions with their pick at number 16 and even at pick number 30.

The rumors have been around basically since the season ended. The fact that Omar Bravo had only played 5 minutes in Sporting KC's playoff run certainly did nothing to temper those rumors. In the offseason Bravo's been linked with every club in Guadalajara, from Chivas to cash strapped Tecos.

Took a little while for me to get this post out due to all the stuff that's been going on since Sporting KC's season ended. But here's a look at my post season grades.
Korede Aiyegbusi - INC - Only played 94 minutes for KC in league play this year, not enough to warrent a grade.
Davy Arnaud - C+ - Missed quite a bit of time after having hernia surgery, and once back found himself as a back up to the midfield trio of Cesar, Espinoza, and Zusi.

Sporting KC moved one step closer to a potential trip to LA and MLS Cup last night when they took out the Colorado Rapids at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, winning 2-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate. Fresh off a last-minute come-from-ahead loss to FC Dallas last week, Sporting Kansas City desperately needed some good news in Sunday night's match-up against the Los Angele Galaxy.

Some good news came late in the form of a Frankie Hejduk handball.

In a very big game in Freetown, Sierra Leone today, Kei Kamara and the Leone Stars took on Egypt in an African Cup of Nations qualifier. Kamara went the full 90 minutes as the Leone Stars won 2-1 with an 89th minute penalty kick. Sierra Leone dominated the early going of the game and got the first goal from Sheriff Suma off of a corner kick in the 14th minute, although the goal could could down as an own goal.
