Thee Balotelli stamp seems to be making its way round the internet quite soundly right now, but
there was a far more vicious boot to the head in Europe this weekend which probably won't see any
pop remixes anytime soon. Dorge Kouemaha of Kaiserslautern went to clear a ball out of the box and
instead found his boot flush with the face of Sebastian Prodl.
Two goals from Patrick Herrmann and another from highly rated forward Marco Reus guided Borussia
Monchengladbach to a 3-1 win over Bayern Munich, cutting the Bavarians' lead atop the Bundesliga
table to a single point.
Bastian Schweinsteiger struck late in the match for Bayern, but that was too little too late for
the visitors, who could be joined at the summit by defending champions Borussia Dortmund over the
weekend.

The big news of the weekend from Europe was Timmy Chandler scoring the only goal in Nurnberg's 1-0
win over Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga. Chandler's goal came in the 13th, minute at the
Easy-Credit Stadion, with Raphael Schafer needing one save for the shutout. Nurnberg are 14th in
the table, two points above the relegation zone.
Nurnberg's eight-game winless streak has come to a close, and Timmy Chandler is the man
responsible for that.
Chandler helped Nurnberg win its first game since mid-September by scoring the winner in the
club's 1-0 victory over Kaiserslautern on Saturday. Chandler's first goal of the season came early
in the first half when he picked off a pass, dribbled by a pair of defenders and rifled a
left-footed shot to the near post.

U.S. men's national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann took advantage of his trip to Europe to stop
over and watch a trio of his players at their club addresses.
He was in Germany on Saturday to watch Fabian Johnson and Danny Williams at Hoffenheim, where
the Bundesliga side drew 1-1 with Kaiserslautern.
Who the hell is Royal-Dominique Fennell? I have no idea and you probably don't either unless you
are Brian Sciaretta, Philneezy or German. Apparently though he plays for Stuttgart Kickers, his dad
is (surprise!) a U.S. serviceman and he's been called up to Caleb Porter's U-23's. That's pretty
much all you need to do to be named Afro-Germerican™ of the Moment so congrats Royal-Dominique.
Bam! There's another Afro-Germerican™ out there, which now leaves me one man shy of having enough
players for a Starting XI (thanks for the tips). His name is Jann George, he's 19 and he scored the
other day for Nurnberg's U-23's; I know this because Brian Sciaretta, czar of Americans Outsourced
to Europe™ reporting, says so.

This may not to be news to those of you who follow German football but today I was informed of yet
another Afro-Germerican™ player I had no idea about. His name is Andrew Wooten and he's with
Kaiserslautern's reserve team.

The Champions League final beckons for Manchester United once again, Bundesliga outfit Schalke
stand in the Premier League leaders way. United warmed up for tonight's clash in Germany on
