Cup qualifying after he suffered an injury while playing with Norwegian club team Fredrickstad, an
injury he blamed on the artificial turf.

The UEFA Europa League finished up its qualifying round on Thursday with the second legs of each
tie. Overall there were several matches and over 30 teams advancing to the next round. Here's a
recap of some of the matches including Fulham v Vetra, Hamburg v Randers, Roma v KAA Gent, PSV v
Cherno and Athletic Bilbao v Young Boys.

One of last season's semi-finalists, Hamburger SV, enter this year's competition in the third
qualifying round against Randers FC of Denmark. Hamburg have added one of the most exciting young
talents in Europe to their squad and will look to make it all the way to the Europa League finals

In the final round of the Belgian league, Anderlecht (of Honduras' Víctor Bernárdez) and Oguchi
Onyewu's Standard Liege were even on points (74) and victories (23), which is the only tiebreaker.
Anderlecht traveled to Genk, while Standard had to travel to Gent. Anderlecht were winning their
match rather comfortably, but Standard suffered throughout their match and only took the lead
through a penalty right at halftime.

K.A.A. Gent lost at home to Racing Genk (K.R.C. Genk) this weekend in Belgian First Division
action.
The contest, which ended 3-2 in favor of Racing Genk, only saw one goal before halftime. Hungarian
midfielder
Balazs Jozsef Toth scored in the 40th minute of play for Racing.
