Boca Juniors looks to get back in the win column on Sunday (5:10 p.m. ET) against Independiente
after being very fortunate to salvage a 1-1 draw with San Lorenzo last time out. Goalkeeper Agustin
Orion has earned rare reviews and a national team call since joining Los Xeneizes, but he was
partly at fault for Gabriel Mendez's free kick.

Boca Juniors had a disappointing debut in this Apertura Championship, being held to a scoreless
draw by Olimpo last weekend. Julio Falcioni is already under pressure, especially with a possible
presidential election looming, and would love a victory over Union on Monday (8:15 p.
Justice was done. The better team actually won and quite comfortably. The Guarani had come to
the finals with no wins in their five matches and it would have been a travesty of immense
proportions if they had managed to pull off another penalty shootout win.
It never happened because Uruguay went on the fore foot right away and their two strikers
delivered.
Pura garra. Puro equipo.

Paraguay goalkeeper Justo Villar has emerged as an unlikely hero in this 2011 Copa America after
helping his team earn another shootout victory on Wednesday against Venezuela. Gerardo Martino's
side has yet to claim a single victory in five games but will take on Uruguay next with an
opportunity to capture its first Copa America title since 1979, and Villar figures to be busy
again.
Sometimes there simply is no justice in football. Sometimes the one team that plays like a bunch of
violent shits wins, and this has just happened with Paraguay, who has made it to the final of the
Copa América by not winning a single match in ordinary time. Instead, they retort to
defensiveness, dirty tricks and filthy provocations to make it to the penalty kicks, where their
only "good" player

Could there be any more dire penalty taking than the Selecao display against Paraguay?
Elano and Andre Santos were completely off target while Thiago Silva's effort was saved by Justo
Villar. Each miss left the Brazilians in the stands looking incredulous.
At the other end Paraguay kept its nerve after Edgar Barreto dragged his shot wide left.
I cannot not watch football. But I am angry and bitter, so I think that from now on, I am renaming
my site the bitter football fanatic. Nobody reads this shit anyway, so I am going to be a hooligan
blogger. And first, I just watched Brazil get eliminated by little Paraguay. Brazil should have won,
but Paraguay´s goalkeeper Justo Villar was an impenetrable wall today.

Yes, I'm just in time for the penalties.
Elano is up first. Versus Justo Villar - and DAMN if he doesn't sky it like Carli Lloyd.
"Horrible!" gasps the announcer.
Brazil were fortunate to draw with Paraguay in the Group stage
Brazil take on Paraguay in the quarter-finals of the Copa America this afternoon in La Plata.
With hosts Argentina out of the competition, Brazil are now the firm favourites but Paraguay will
be a tricky opponent. In the Group stage, the pair drew 2-2; Fred coming off the bench to secure a
late equalizer for Brazil.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The quality of play from the U.S. men's national team was much improved
against Paraguay than it was three days prior versus Argentina, but that didn't translate into a
victory for the Americans.
Paraguay defeated the United States, 1-0, through an Oscar Cardozo goal in the first half.
