As I did last year, here's a look at former SKC Juniors players who continued to play soccer at the collegiate level. The list comes from KC's website. Jordan Rideout and Alex Sweetin led the former Juniors in goals with both scoring seven. Sweetin led all academy graduates in assists with nine. Sweetin will be at the MLS combine ahead of the 2014 MLS Superdraft, although it's unknown if he'll qualify as a player KC could sign as a home grown signing.

With the second weekend of the men's NCAA Division 1 soccer tournament set to kick off this weekend, 2 teams with former Juniors on their rosters are still alive in the tournament. Christian Duke and San Diego and Eric De Julio and Chris Tuso at Creighton.

Duke and San Diego won their first round match up over Cal State Northridge in extra time after tying 1-1 through regulation.

Sporting Junior Named to US U15 National Team

Last week, the US U-15 team coach, Tony Lepore announced the roster for a 36 player camp that started on the first and runs through the 8th. One of the players named to the roster is Sporting Juniors player, Erik Palmer-Brown. Palmer-Brown is the second ranked player from the Heartland Region according to Top Drawer Soccer in his age group and has dressed for two games with the Sporting reserves, including appearing in one of those games, against Colorado in June.

The future certainly appears to be bright at the goalkeeper position for Sporting KC. Not only is KC's current back up, Jon Kempin, only 19 years old, but on the current Juniors team, Sporting KC also has another keeper that is going to spend time with a US youth national team. U18 goalkeeper, Jacole Turner has been invited to a camp with the US U18 team in Carson, CA.

The rumor making the run around the internet today is that the US Soccer Developmental Academy will be making changes to the season, making it longer. The announcement sounds like it could even come tomorrow.

The first in the 17th minute on a header from a Colin Clarke cross. In the second half, goalkeeper Eric Kronberg earned himself a red card as he took down Weaver in the box.

Chelsea announced today that there will be no rise in ticket prices for the upcoming 2012-13 season. This includes all seats at Stamford Bridge, including the hospitality area.

Prices for all categories of Barclays Premier League games (AA, A and B) will remain the same as the current 2011/12 season.

Today was the second MLS draft, there was no ball room in Kansas City for the draft though. The Supplemental Draft took place on a conference call and took about as long as half the first round of the SuperDraft. After trading for Michael Thomas' rights, KC only had 4 picks, 1 in the first and second, and 2 in the third.
