Super sub Andrei Arshavin scored two fantastic goals for Arsenal to send the home side top of the Emirates cup after a 2-1 victory over Athletico Madrid.

The Russian playmaker looked to have won the game after breaking the deadlock five minutes from time. But their Spanish opponents replied instantly through Pacheco before Arshavin sealed the win with a last gasp strike from an impossible angle.
