After all the talk of history-makers and fairy tales, of Swansea City's decade-long journey to the promised land and Bradford City's fight for survival, there was always a risk of Sunday's Capital One Cup final being a disappointment.
Michael Laudrup has stepped down as manager of Mallorca after just over a year in charge of the
Spanish club.
The Dane has come under pressure recently after a poor string of results at the start of the new
Primera La Liga competition, but his side did beat Real Sociedad 2-1 on Sunday.
Laudrup's assistant Erik Larsen was dismissed by club owner Lorenzo Serra Ferrer on Monday evening,

Two contrasting playing styles battled against one another at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon, as Michael Laudrup's classy Swansea outclassed a lacklustre Stoke City by three goals to one.
It was a first half that offered very little in the way of entertainment.
On Wednesday, December 12th, Swansea City take on Middlesbrough in the Capitol One Cup with the hope of returning to winning ways following a recent slip-up against Norwich City in the Premier League.
