Jimmy Conrad got his 27th cap earlier today coming on for Jonathan Spector in the 70th minute of
the United States 3-1 loss to Denmark. The US led 1-0 at the half thanks to a Jeff Cunningham goal,
but struggled right out of the game in the second half, giving up 3 goals in the first 10 minutes
of the second half.

Costa Rica's new coach Rene Simoes has had a mixed bag of results. The Ticos beat his old team,
Trinidad and Tobago handily, 4-0. The USA were able to claw back a draw against them with Jonathan
Bornstein's equalizer (which made him a hero in Honduras) at RFK stadium.
However, the Ticos suffered a setback at home against Uruguay in the playoffs to decide the
World Cup spot between the 4th placed CONCACAF and 5th placed CONMEBOL teams.

A Slovakian team that was (apparently) good in European qualifying, but not well ranked by
FIFA, played a defensive, counter-attacking game against the USA in a partially filled stadium,
on a pretty ugly field and won 1-0 on a weak penalty call. Not what you call must-see-TV, so it
is probably good that not many people saw it.

arrived, on a poorly disguised loan agreement (he's ours after the season), some were concerned
that we had paid too much for an ageing player with no re-sale value.

De nueva cuenta Monterrey "se ahogó en un charquito"... una falta tonta que
genera pelota parada en contra, una marca horrible, un portero que no sabe salir... y fue todo, con
eso tuvo el América para ganar 1-0 esta tarde en el Estadio Azteca.
La Pandilla entró como dormida al juego y las Aguilas con
las pilas bien puestas, estaba claro que su consigna era anotar pronto para después manejar el
partido y lo consiguieron.

Jonathan Spector started the game on the bench for West Ham United, but was on the field within
eight minutes as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Upton Park. Spector subbed on for injured defender
Herita Ilunga, with West Ham saving the offense for late in both halves. Mark Noble put them up
from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time, beating Brad Friedel.

liguilla, y en una combinación de resultados hasta pueden salir clasificados de este
mismo partido.
Para los de Torreón este partido es como un Clásico, y lo juegan a muerte
como tal, es un orgullo ganarle al Monterrey, sobre todo de visita, eso es lo que buscaran los
