Park Ji-Sung made his 200th appearance for United last weekend in our 3-3 draw with Chelsea.
When Park joined United for £2m in 2005 several people claimed it was just to appeal to the
Asian market in order to sell more shirts. Those people obviously didn't watch him play for PSV
against AC Milan in the Champions League a few months before we bought him.
Park Ji-Sung has today claimed he hopes to spend the rest of his career at Manchester United
although recognises he can't take his position at the club for granted.
"When I came to United I didn't expect to be here for this long," he said. "Looking
back on my career I can't believe I've been here six or seven years.
Park Ji-Sung has a reputation for showing up in the big games, scoring important goals against
tough opposition.
Last season, he scored the winning goal against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final,
moments after Didier Drogba had brought the opposition level.
However, Park believes it is his goal from the season before against Liverpool, where United
came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1, which is his best for the club.

Park Ji-Sung has put an end to any rumours linking him with a move away from the club after
signing a new two year deal.
"I have enjoyed every minute of my time at United," said Park. "I'm delighted to be
part of the club during this latest stage in its history with another exciting young team being
built.

With Manchester United out to defend their record 19th English Championship, their cross town

The Faryd Mondragon/David Beckham connection continues after the MLS All-Stars 4–0 defeat to
Manchester United. In Soccer America's player ratings for Wednesday night's All-Star Game,
Mondragon's "6″ is the highest rating received, with only Beckham and Jamison Olave sharing that
number.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Park Ji-Sung has been offered a new two year contract
extension, which would see him in to his eighth year at Manchester United.
"He's been offered a new contract, yes," said Ferguson. "I'm sure he'll sign it.
His career at United has been nothing but excellent.
Last week, RoM readers were given the opportunity to think of questions to be asked by
Manchester United players whilst on tour in the States, thanks to KCKRS. Unfortunately, at the last
minute, there was a change in the people who were going to be interviewed, so I sent over a few
questions for the new line-up, including these for Park Ji-Sung.
Park Ji-Sung is the most successful Asian player of his generation and arguably of all time, as
the South Korean has had a glittering career in Europe with PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United, as
well as captaining his country. The 30-year-old has played a part in six league title wins, four
domestic cup victories and has a Champions League winners medal.

With team mates Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Edwin Van der Sar all retiring this summer, Park
Ji-Sung has revealed he has started to give own retirement some thought.
He joined the club as a 24-year-old, but six years later, and his contract set to expire next
summer, Park has hinted he may not end his career with United.
The primary target was 19 which was successfully won! Anything else would have merely been a

This has got legs Ji-Sung Park has revealed the secret behind his boundless energy: frog juice. The
Manchester United midfielder's father trekked from their home in Suwon to Go-heung county to buy
frogs for one of the world's least-appealing protein drinks. Park and his dad were concerned that
his slight frame could stop his footballing [.
Our 2 primary concerns coming into this game was firstly, to ensure that we put out a strong
enough squad and performance so that our selection would not come under FA scrutiny. Secondly, we
needed to ensure that our key players would come away from this weekend's encounter injury free and
ready for Wembley.

Park Ji-Sung put in a brilliant display against Chelsea a couple of weekends ago, working
tirelessly in midfield to keep possession for United.
Park's best mate, Patrice Evra, reckons it must be something he eats.
"Ji's unbelievable," said Evra. "I was just laughing when I was watching the
Chelsea game when he was running, because it was unbelievable.
1 point. That's all we need from our remaining two fixtures to win title # 19 after an amazing
display against Chelsea.
This was the first league game in a while where we played like would-be champions. Far too often
this season, the knock on us has been a group of rather average over the hill players who somehow
manage to grind out unimpressive results.
It's been said many times. We can all be the greatest managers in the world AFTER the game yet
there are still some uncomfortable questions which keeps arising after Manchester United's defeat
at...

No longer will we have to lose him to the Asian Cup or other international related selections.
This is good news for the club since it means a more rested player while others are incurring an
extra 90-180 minutes of game time and potential injuries.
Look at our existing players and how they've benefited from international retirement.
