Schoolboy attacking There are not too many professions where key strategic decisions are made on
the basis of the outcome of a playground game of chance. Just football and investment banking.
Borussia Monchengladbach duo Marco Reus and Mike Hanke couldn't decide who should take a free-kick
against Cologne, so they resorted the international argument settler [.
'It's playing poorly and still managing to win that's a sign of a good team'
If I had a pound for every time I've heard that in the last 36 hours I'd have enough money to make
Keith Andrews' move to Portman Road a permanent one.
The scoreline suggests that the midfielder's 80th minute strike was the only difference between the
two sides, but that wasn't the case.
A win from Town today would see the Blues getting three great results from what we thought would be
the three hardest games of the season: Middlesbrough, West Ham and Brighton.
What a wonderful time it is to be a Town fan!
I was speaking to @FelsedBoy this morning and he quite delightfully described today as 'feeling
like the first of the season, with the glorious weather and the feeling of hope in Ipswich'.
Jimmy Bullard. One of our all-time blog favorites. The former Hull man was an on-and-off fantasy
footie force in the bargain priced bracket a few seasons back, and here he is turning out for
Ipswich this past weekend and ... Continue reading →
It seems as though football is pushing us in the direction of evolution recently, giving us the
idea of what football could be, but is not yet. Much work to be done then.
Jimmy Bullard is offering his contribution to the future of football, and no, it does not
involve rumblings of Slovenian prostitutes while on preseason tour.

During Ipswich's game with Coventry last night, both Jimmy Bullard and Keith Andrews wanted to take
a free kick. How did they settle who got to take it? Like men with a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors...
I'm not a fan of the game because whenever I have a kickabout with friends, we always do

In which Ipswich pair Jimmy Bullard and Keith Andrews rile manager Paul Jewell by undermining a
week's worth of set-piece training by deciding free-kick duties with an impromptu game of 'Rock,
Paper, Scissors' during the Tractor Boy's 3-0 win over Coventry in the Championship last night.
Straight from the training ground Ipswich showed the careful planning and strategy that goes into
their set-pieces during last night's match against Coventry. Midfielders Jimmy Bullard and Keith
Andrews both fancied a crack at a free-kick, so they settled their dispute with a quick on-pitch
game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Jimmy Bullard has signed for Ipswich on a two-year deal, having had his Hull City contract
terminated. Town boss Paul Jewell had been keen to bring Bullard – who could wear his new Mizuno

Old friend Eddie Johnson's had a spot of bother. Never mind that though I like the caption
above: "local soccer pro Eddie Johnson kicks a soccer ball". Which is a) delightfully
descriptive, b) not necessarily correct (he's heading it, isn't he?) and c) just nice anyway. It
would be good if all football photos had such captions.
Liverpool continues their preseason preparations with a trip to the KC Stadium, where they'll work
to get up to speed and look to gain momentum ahead of the season opener in three weeks. This marks
the midway point of the club's preseason fixtures, and possibly gives us the first chance to see
the Liverpool bow of at least a couple summer signings.

This town is a rugby town. The red and white horizontal stripes of the Warriors have always been
the biggest team in the Greater Manchester town of Wigan, dominating the Rugby Super League with
names such as Martin Offiah, Jason Robinson and Andy Farrell standing tall as the sons of Wigan.
The blue and white vertical stripes, those that share the DW Stadium with their rugby league
brothers, are represented as the lesser sibling of the Warriors in a town that is synonmous pie
eating and harsh North Western living conditions.
Interesting theory on Twitter this week: davegoods reckons there's seven places to fill in the
Ipswich Town first team this summer. Quite a task for our PJ.
I think you've got to consider even more than that. Our starting 11 could literally be anything
next year: and trying to figure out who it will be is proving to be quite exciting!

year, but they must do better next year'.

Number 5: four minutes on the clock at Stamford Bridge, Murphy sends Nevland clear, and
Nevland did what Nevland did so well, and we're a goal up. It didn't last (for Fulham or Nevland

Guvnor really rules the manor Every one loves a football prankster. It's why Jimmy Bullard and the
Wimbledon crazy-gang are held in such high esteem. As they will no doubt attest to, the key to any
well-executed prank is: a) picking a target who will take a joke and b) Not taking it too far.
