Rafael was thrown in to the centre of midfield alongside Ji-Sung Park for Manchester United's
3-2 defeat against Blackburn.

As a sidebar to all of the hype surrounding the Euro2012 play off qualifiers this past week, I
noticed a great story emerging out of the Middle East which deserves more than a mention. Asian

In a match that was predictably testy, all the drama came in the last twenty minutes as
Liverpool and United shared the points at Anfield. It was the same old story for Liverpool, who had
plenty of clear-cut chances go begging.

Steven Gerrard marked his first start of the 2011/12 season with a goal, as Liverpool were held
to a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime. On his return to the initial

minute to give his side the lead in a tense contest.
Now the international break is over, the games start coming thick and fast as Manchester United

Manchester United, but the Red Devils exacted a small dose revenge against their European rival on
Saturday, wrapping up an unbeaten U.
After Manchester United's 4-0 victory over the MLS All-Stars last night at Red Bull Arena, Alex
Labidou of Goal.com was able to speak with Anders Lindegaard and Ji-Sung Park about what's needed
for MLS, and specifically American soccer, to continue to grow.
Year after year, Manchester United continues to show that there is a huge disparity between the
world's best and Major League Soccer.
Oliveira Anderson, Dimitar Berbatov, Ji-Sung Park and Danny Welbeck were all on the scoresheet as

Ji Sung Park had the goal of the match. Man Utd showed flashes of brilliance in their short

For 45 minutes Wednesday, the New England Revolution held its own against one of the top clubs
the world has to offer.
Manchester United couldn't break through against the Revolution defense in a friendly before
51,523 at Gillette Stadium, and the two teams went into the break locked in a scoreless draw.
Manchester United blitzed the New England Revolutions in a second-half that produced 5
goals, Michael Owen opened the scoring before Frederico Macheda grabbed a brace and Ji
Sung Park completed the blitz in United's opening US Pre-Season Tour.

against New England Revolution 4-1 to kickstart their pre-season tour of the United States. Reds'
performance in the first half was one to forget, but a flurry of second-half goals, including four
in the space of 11 frantic minutes, made everyone present at The Gillette Stadium go crazy!
Prior to each match, New England Soccer Today will invite a reporter from the other side to
provide insight regarding the Revolution's next opponent.
This week, The Busby Way editor Chudi Onwuazor shared his thoughts on the state
of Manchester United and what the New England Revolution can expect when they face them at Gillette
Stadium in an international exhibition on Wednesday night.
Man United have released their squad for their U.S.A. tour, and except for Chicharito, all of

The Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United have announced a strong squad for their
tour of the United States, which begins this Wednesday with a highly anticipated fixture against
the New England Revolution.
Wednesday evening's match will mark the opening of the Herbalife World Football Challenge for
Sir Alex Ferguson's side, which will include new signings David DeGea, Phil Jones, and Ashley
Young, as well as controversial Welshman Ryan Giggs.
Manchester United has released the travel roster for their upcoming U.S. tour which, of course,
includes a match against the Seattle Sounders on July 20. Among the players that will be making the
trip are Javier Hernandez (Chicharito), Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Young, Nani, Ji-Sung
Park, Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs.
According to the News of the World, United are in discussion with Nike over a world record £400
million kit deal. Nike currently pay United £23.5m per year, and with their existing 10-year deal
expiring in 2015, it makes sense to open discussions now on a new deal.
When United moved from Umbro to Nike in 2002, their new deal with Nike set the standard for kit
deals in football.
