With all that went on with the Gold Cup over the past week, I almost forgot that the Mexican 2009
Apertura kicked off last week. As usual, there were plenty of surprises: Jaguares winning at Cruz
Azul, San Luis' last second spot kick equalizer vs. Big Brother, and the Chivas Toluca goalfest to
name a few.
The post-Temo era has not been very kind to Club America. In fact, for a team with such a storied
tradition, the past few years have been particularly gruesome. The last few seasons has seen big
name players come and go, big name coaches come and go, all in a vain attempt to try to recapture
the glory that so many America fans not only expect, but demand.
Monterrey tiene la ventaja, el marcador nos favorece, en estos momentos estamos
parcialmente en semifinales, por lo tanto no hay que estar preocupados por lo que haga el America,
hay que tener confianza en el equipo y que los mismos jugadores entiendan que es
el momento de transcender y de dejar los miedos, fantasmas y demás cosas que nos afectan, a un
lado.
