Reports out of Spain indicate that Cesc Fabregas will be unveiled as Barca's newest player on
Monday. He's expected to attend the Super Cup between Barca and Real Madrid tomorrow. However the
backloaded 6m euros variable are said to still be holding up the deal.
When then lineups are posted later this evening, fans will notice a distinct pattern to the jersey
numbers. Going back to an historical tradition, Jurgen Klinsmann will assign the numbers 1-11 to
the starters each game, and 12-18 for the reserves.
Numbers will be only thing printed on the jersey, which means no names on the back.
Ah here they are again at last: Real Madrid matches. Nevermind that they're only friendlies. For
die-hard Madridistas like myself, there are never enough of them... and though fatherhood has
helped a lot with the Real Madrid withdrawal symptoms, they never go away permanently. Last Sunday
morning (Saturday evening LA time I think), Real Madrid played their first pre-season match against
the LA Galaxy who were in the middle of their season.

More than half a dozens of Armed Police Force (APF) came out in changed jersey number during its
league match against Machhindra Club on Wednesday which made it difficult for the spectators to
identify the players.
As per football regulation, no player is allowed play with a changed jersey number in the same
tournament.
So I'm glancing over the latest Goffblog United injury roundup and feeling a little paranoid for
Chris Korb. Not only is Zayner, the prospective starter at right back, still down, but McTavish, a
utility man but putative right back, continues his concussion troubles as well. As a right fullback
myself, that has me a little spooked.
