Fulham 2-1 Stoke City Premier League 11th February 2012
New-boy Pavel Pogrebnyak opened his account for the Cottagers on Saturday against a Stoke City
side who are now desperately in need of a win.
These wins aren't to be underestimated. Stoke are a handful and we rarely thrive against them,
but today, despite withstanding a lot of second half pressure, Fulham stood firm and deserved their
points.
New players are traditionally given a time to adjust when signing for a new club, but today
Pavel Pogrebnyak was thrown straight into the deep end.
HMP United With the current goings on surrounding Harry Redknapp allegedly in legal trouble for
naming an account after his dog (or something along those lines), we look at five current

Stoke City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion Premier League 21st January 2012
West Brom secured a vital three points away at a blustery Britannia against a Stoke side who
never really got into their stride.
Clive Brunskill/Getty Images (Bleacher Report) Rory Delap has been a thorn in the side of multiple
EPL clubs over the past seasons. It is well documented how much Arsene Wenger despises the player's
long throw ability.
However, Liverpool have the fortunate advantage of making a trip to the Britannia Stadium this
weekend without having to come up against the Potters' not-so-secret weapon.
The top team in the Group E, Besiktas will try to win their second match against Stoke City,
after beating Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv with 5-1 score.
Besiktas coach Carlos Carvalhal told his players to be on their guard against the threat of Stoke
striker Peter Crouch.

Stoke City F.C. are leaving no stone unturned in their meticulous preparations for the club's
first European campaign in 37 years. With work afoot to build a squad that can cope with the
rigours of playing twice a week, they have also embarked on the gargantuan task of making thousands
upon thousands of sandwiches.
Stoke City | News | Latest News | Latest News | Etherington Boost For The Potters STOKE CITY have
received a major boost ahead of their Europa League tie against FC Thun . . . with the news that
winger Matthew Etherington should be available for the game in Switzerland after tests revealed no
serious damage to his left arm.
The season is here, my friends. Mount up.

Quick Reminder, Real Life Fortress at home, inept on the road. Slightly fewer wins than losses.
Slightly fewer scored than allowed. By far the fewest goals allowed in the bottom half of the table
(their 48 were 8 fewer than next closest Bolton). Lots of tall players and lots of bruising
defending.
Int: Day – John Henry's office Henry: So Mr. Dalglish, you called this meeting to authorise a
signing, who do you have in mind? Kenny: Why, aye we need a winger who will put it on Carroll's
head. Henry: What's wrong with Suarez, Charlie Adam, and Jordon Henderson...I've spend a lot of
money [..
Where did the players go?
That was not an entirely impossible result but still tough to accept. Only 2 changes were made
to the side that controlled and beat Manchester United just a week ago. The difference in
performance and attitude from that game to the Stoke one yesterday was incredible.

This Jermaine Pennant goal vs Arsenal was the second goal in the Stoke vs Arsenal Premier League
game on May 8, 2011. The Pennant goal vs Arsenal was an excellent strike from former Arsenal winger
Pennant, with the Gunners defence to blame for their poor organisation. Pennant's goal v Arsenal
came after his teammate Jones [.
Transfer Rumors Continue to Swirl Around Anfield
by Thomas Atzenhoffer on The Bleacher Report

Michael Regan/Getty ImagesWith two of their biggest signings in years, Liverpool made a splash in
the January transfer market. However, given that they are still languishing outside the top five
and will be completely out of contention for European competition if Tottenham hold their margin,
it has not been enough.
Luis Suarez scored on his debut as Liverpool concluded a turbulent few days with a valuable victory
over Stoke.
The Uruguayan slotted home the Reds' second goal of the game in front of the Kop to ensure Fernando
Torres' £50million move to Chelsea was no longer the major talking point.
And if questions were being asked about how the Reds would cope in their former striker's absence
then efforts by Suarez and Portugal midfielder Raul Meireles - with his third goal in four matches
- provided a swift answer.
Four more years... Four more years...
Jermaine Pennant, as most will be aware, used to play for Liverpool. When he moved to Zaragoza
in 2009 he decided to buy a new Porsche so that he could day trip around the vineyards of La Rioja
in style. He also got a sweet vanity license plate that read "P33NNT" to make it all just that much
more awesome.
LONDON, England English Premier League star Jermaine Pennant — once Britain's most expensive
teenage soccer player — forgot he owned a Porsche, leaving the luxury car at a train station for
six months, it emerged Wednesday. On the same day "Britain's brainiest footballer," Burnley
defender Clarke Carlisle, announced he had been selected as a [.

Stoke winger Jermaine Pennant was apparently taken a-back recently when he was contacted by his
former club, Real Zaragoza, regarding a £98,000 Porsche which he had left unattended at a railway
station in the Spanish city over the past five months.
Maybe it was Ashley Cole's! Jermaine Pennant forgot that he had left a Porsche parked at a Spanish
railway station for five months, according to reports on Mirror Football. The Stoke City winger was
allegedly contacted by former club Real Zaragoza after city authorities called them about the car.
If you are wondering how the [.
Anthony Gardner... Anthony Gardner?!!! 10. Julian Dicks Stuart Pearce sort of had the hard,
passionate England left-back spot covered during the early nineties (to the extent that Nigel
Winterburn gained only two caps). But Dicks, who was West Ham Player of the Year for four years out
of seven, must have deserved to transfer his [.
The January 2011 transfer window is closed and it was a record breaking one as Premier League
teams spent over £210 MILLION on transfers in January. Here is the final list of player

I hope everyone had a great new year, but now their is work to be done and New Year's
Resolutions to be kept especially for Premiership sides and footballers...

Visually we have You're boy, Ferdinand and Nigel Reo Cooker to prove my point.
The January 2011 transfer window is about to open. Will Premier League clubs be spending money
this time around? In January 2009 Premier League teams spent a record £178 MILLION in that
transfer window. Last January spending was much lower with the vast majority of moves on the final
day of the January transfer window being loan deals as clubs did not have the capital to invest in
new players.
