We start today's blog with a subject Arsenal fans are always delighted to hear about: player
departures. Park Chu-Young has indicated that if keeps getting ignored for play action, he might
leave in the summer.
Playoff update
If the playoffs started today, the Philadelphia Union would be the second seed in the Eastern
Conference, level on 48 points with Kansas City but with an inferior win-loss-draw record. Kansas
City defeated New York 2–0 on Saturday to draw level with the Union, which means New York has the
last wild card spot with 43 points going into Thursday's game with the Union.
Today was the first day of our annual Emirates Cup, also known as the joke most jerks use to say
"but we HAVE won a trophy this season!"
The first game was Thierry Henry's New York Red Bulls against newly rich PSG. In a surprising
result, NY won 1-0, from a goal by Joel Lindpere. Henry also got a standing ovation from the home
crowd, which was really nice.
