Tough one.
Can't call them "snap judgments" because they took way too long. TSG's Tuesday will be
along shortly with the official review.
Here are some thoughts that I want to spill out on the screen. We'll give it the "Good, Bad,
Ugly" treatment because it works well here.

PARIS, France – The United States Men's National Soccer Team's struggles to generate offense
continued on Friday as they fell 1-0 at Stade de France and are now 1-4-1 under head coach Jurgen
Klinsmann.
The Americans kept the French quiet during the first half, but the home side came out with
renewed life in the second period, keeping the visitors pegged back for much of the final 45
minutes and eventually finding the back of the net.
Euro Qualifier on Friday.

This was not a good weekend for oil and gas rich sheikhs shaking up football with their big
spending ways. Paris St Germain now under control of the Qatari Investment Authority (QIA) lost
their season opener at home against Lorient who scored through Julien Quercia.
Queens Park Rangers has already had dealings with Paris Saint-Germain in this transfer window and
refusing to sell Adel Taraabt may come back to haunt them.
PSG has entered the race for Joe Cole and with the Liverpool's midfielder's £90,000-a-week wages
proving a stumbling block in QPR's loan bid, the French outfit are in pole position to sign Cole.

Typical Mirko, it was inevitable wasn't it? A big game player by design, scoring against one of the
titans of modern day English football on the greatest club stage in the world. In fact, nearly
every facet of that goal simply oozed of the Montenegrin, an epitome of the way he played. It was
his second of the night, and Roma's third.
The Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United saga continues to evolve, as the move seems to be
picking up steam. But the rumors are somewhat conflicting to say the least.
Reports from England in the last 24 hours suggest Inter have accepted a bid from United,
clearing the way for the player to discuss personal terms.

MLS wasn't the only team to lose something during All-Star week.
Manchester United forward Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez will miss the next two weeks of
preseason preparations after suffering a concussion during the club's practice session on
Tuesday.

Franck Ribery recently said he could be as good as Leo Messi if he kept himself injury-free this
coming season.
Well, so much for that.
Ribery could miss the start of the Bundesliga season after picking up an ankle injury during
Bayern Munich's training session on Sunday.
Thomas Di Benedetto is a stranger in a strange land. As an American in charge of an Italian
football club Italy being infamously insular when it comes to calcio the Bostonian needs to make a
strong and favorable impression immediately upon the minds of Romanisti. The club's most noticeable
problem is a leaky defence, the likes of which is prone to spectacular mistakes in judgments.
Alain Migliaccio, agent of Jeremy Menez, denied that Arsenal offered Gael Clichy in a swap transfer
deal for the talented French midfielder. Speaking to Italian website Calciomercato.it, the agent
explained that the Italian Serie A side ...
It looks like a player from Europe will be unveiled at Newcastle in the next few days, but who he
is, we have no idea. Jeremy Menez Newcastle interested in French International One player it
could possibly be is Roma's Jeremy Menez, the 24 year-old gifted French International, who is
currently at Roma.
"Internazionale took the field this weekend fielding a familiar 4-2-3-1 formation. Giampaolo
Pazzini was chosen to lead the line, with Samuel Eto'o and Philipe Coutinho forced out into the
wider positions. Despite winning the game 3-1, Inter showed they still have flaws in their side.
Top of the list, a distinct lack of width; this will be apparent to any fan of the team who has
watched.

Liverpool has been the latest side to express their interest in luring Roma's £10 million rated
star Jeremy Menez to Anfield in the next transfer window.
As Liverpool's wild search for a star winger goes on, Roma winger Jeremy Menez's solid display
throughout the season in the Serie A has caught the eye of the 18-time Premier League champions.
The Italian national team did play yesterday, pulling off a comfortable 1-0 win away against
Slovenia- the first time Gli Azzurri had ever won away there. Cesare Prandelli's rebuilding
continues along a smooth pace, with more answers than questions being delivered. The Italian
newspapers can only talk about that one game for so long, for so many pages, however, and the
subsequent result is massive, massive amounts of transfer talk.
Reported Tottenham target Jeremy Menez would be open to joining Liverpool, it has been claimed.
The versatile Roma playmaker has also previously been on the radar of Manchester United and has
been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in the summer.
Sportingo initially reported that Spurs were monitoring the France international with great
interest and there has been growing speculation in recent weeks that Menez wants out of Roma when
the transfer window reopens.
After a nightmare seven months at Roma, Adriano's contract has finally been rescinded. Kaka, the

Champions League dark-horses Shakhtar Donetsk beat Roma 3-2 in the Stadio Olimpico last night,
but the goal of the game belonged to Giallorossi forward Jeremy Menez, who picked out what pundits
like to refer to as the 'postage stamp', i.e. placing a shot about as 'top corner' as it's
physically possible to get.

Almost a year after Lionel Messi's four goals sent Arsenal packing from the UEFA Champions
League, the Gunners got a little bit of revenge.
Late goals from Robin Van Persie and Andrei Arshavin canceled out David Villa's first-half
strike and give Arsenal a 2-1 advantage over Barcelona when the teams meet again at the Camp Nou
next month for the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.
ROME, Italy - AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri was left to fight off loud boos and speculation his
days at the club are numbered after an embarrassing 3-2 home defeat by Champions League knockout
round debutants Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday. Three Serie A games without a win and the club being
up for sale had [.
Brazil's Hernanes greeted France's Karim Benzema with a very unkind handshake this evening, that
in the form of a Nigel de Jong* to the chest. He was obviously sent off for his unfriendly
greeting, landing instant infamy in the land of the YouTube and semi-creative GIFs.
Of course while the tackle was unfriendly, he was given consolation from Jeremy Menez of Roma,
archenemy to Hernanes' Lazio.
Inter-Roma is no ordinary clash between two title rivals. Over the past four years or so, it has
been the title clash between the only two clubs who ever really competed for it. Each match has
been enthralling, full of controversy, red cards, and goals. Claudio Ranieri's side this term have
taken full points off all the teams above them bar Napoli thus far in the campionato and will look

'La Magicast' return with the fifth episode on everything AS Roma. This episode of La Magicast
marks the return of Julian after a one-week absence along with the ever-present Greg (Alex misses

super-subs, Totti's locker room influence, Mexes and DDR's revival.
In episode 4.1 Adam and Walker travel south to Sicily and welcome Lorenzo Vicini (think I got that

list from Match day 21 of Italian Serie A. Lorenzo writes for the Palermo-offside and is dedicated
supporter of the Azzurri as well.
Mirko Vucinic and Jeremy Menez are so effective coming off the bench that Claudio Ranieri may never
start them again. The two creative stars for Roma shone during their cameo into the match against
Cagliari, once again providing the attacking creativity to lead Roma to an overwhelming win. A game
that was lost 5-1 in the previous fixture this season has been won 3-0 this time around and
Claudio.

It was the Derby della Capitale on Wednesday January 19, 2011 as Roma hosted Lazio in the Coppa
Italia. Considered one of the biggest and fiercest derbies in Europe, if not the world, Wednesday's
match lived up to its billing as 90 minutes of fierce play saw Roma win their fourth straight
derby.
'La Magicast' return with their fourth episode on everything AS Roma. Greg and Alex (Julian
misses out due to travel) discuss the 1-0 win against Cesena. It seemed as if Raineri didn't have a
gameplan, which is dissected as well. Also discussed is the departure of Cicinho, who joins
Baptista and Okaka on the list of players who left the club this weekend.
When a star collapses under its own weight, in an extraordinary phenomenon that occurs for a
variety of reasons including an excess consumption of fuel, a black hole results. The star's
internal pressure cannot withstand the force of its own gravity, and essentially implodes, becoming
a swirling outlet which devours anything it comes across.

Happy New Year from the Roma Review! Intense last matchday in Serie A with games on Thursday and
