Kayla Mitchell scored four goals, including her conference-leading 26th of the season, as the
Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team posted its 12th shutout, a 4-0 victory against
CSU-Pueblo on Friday in Golden.
The Orediggers have shut out seven of their past eight opponents.
Mitchell gave Mines a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, when Liz Oba chipped a ball over the
CSU-Pueblo defense.

Conference offensive player of the week.
Nelson, a senior forward from Laramie, scored four goals and tallied two assists to help Mines
to a pair of victories last weekend. In Mines' 4-3 win at CSU-Pueblo on Friday, Nelson scored a
pair of goals, including the winner, and added an assist.

Philip Wilson, Chike Sullivan and Trevor Braun scored as the Colorado School of Mines men's
soccer team blanked the University of Mary 3-0 on Monday afternoon in Golden. Manville Strand
earned his first shutout of the season for Mines.
The Orediggers jumped out to lead in the eighth minute, when Masaki Hemmi crossed a ball into
the box and Wilson headed it in for his second goal of the season.

The Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team scored four second-half goals en route to a 5-1
victory against Northwest Nazarene on Thursday afternoon in Golden in the Orediggers' season
opener.
The Crusaders got on the board first after drawing a foul just outside the box. Renatto Britto
drove the ball just underneath the crossbar from 25 yards out, giving Northwest Nazarene a 1-0 lead
in the seventh minute.
