Tottenham gaffer Harry Redknapp is set to dip into the loan market to strengthen his squad. Yep, someone set Arry to full-on 'wheeler dealer' mode.

After failed bids for Scott 'Scotty' Parker and Manchester City forward Craig 'The Mouth' Bellamy, Arry will do what he does best: rummage around in the bargain bins, make trips to car boot sales, take whatever fell off the back of that jacknifed lorry.

Last night's Champions League game between Barcelona and Arsenal was much more than an entertaining fixture. Lionel Messi proved just why he is the best player in the world. Boy wonder scored an amazing 4 goals to take his tally in the competition to 8.

Barcelona now prepare to face Inter Milan in the semi final.

With Barcelona and Inter Milan already set for what should be a memorable semifinal, the final two places in the UEFA Champions League semis will be sealed today as Manchester United takes on Bayern Munich (2:45pm, FSC/FSE) and Bordeaux faces Lyon (2:45pm, Fox Soccer Plus) in two quality quarterfinal second legs.

Yesterday i had the rare opportunity to watch some of the biggest stars when it comes to African football. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon were live in action against our very own Harambee Stars in a friendly played at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani. Well, we lost the match 3-1 but not without giving the visitors a run for their money.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Lyon's impressive defensive midfielder Jean Makoun this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to bring in more experienced players to add to his youthful Emirates squad.

After an excellent showing in the 1990 FIFA World Cup, Cameroon have since faded somewhat – and this is widely attributed to the older members of the team during the "glory years" going into retirement. However, this year, the side are rejuvenated and could definitely be the ones to watch during the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa and even worth a World Cup bet.

Cameroon became the first team eliminated from the FIFA World Cup as they went down to a 2-1 defeat to Denmark and, thus, remain pointless after two group matches. Even if Cameroon were to win their third group match against the Netherlands on Thursday their inferior head-to-head record against the other two teams would render them unable to gain the second spot in Group E.

Both these sides came into this match needing victories. Denmark had perhaps been unlucky to lose 2-0 to a Dutch side who were noticeably off the boil. Contrastingly, Cameroon had not been nearly potent enough to fend off Japan, who beat them 1-0 thanks to Keisuke Honda's first half goal.
