England international (we must never forget what happened that day) Jay Bothroyd showed off his delightful new tattoo yesterday which sees the word "love" spelled out in guns, grenades and flick knives down his entire left flank.
There's a joke about his Arsenal in there somewhere.

QPR are ready to rival Liverpool for the signing of Tottenham striker Jermaine Defoe, according to
The People.
Defoe is tipped to leave White Hart Lane this summer and Liverpool was believed to be interested
before the Anfield club's recent sacking of Kenny Dalglish.
It is claimed Rangers boss Mark Hughes wants to form a new-look attack by capturing Defoe and Andy
Johnson.

The 'ballers from Queens Park Rangers were out at the movies Tuesday night for the film premiere

it should've been.
Representing for the first team was Fitz Hall, Anton Ferdinand and Shaun Wright-Phillips, all of
whom were dressed in a very predictable, very London nightclub circa 2007 dress code of of denim
and trainers.

Zamora and Cissé Can they keep QPR in the Premier League? - originally posted on

Mark Hughes was very active on transfer deadline day, signing ex-Liverpool front man Djibril
Cissé from Lazio and re-uniting himself with Bobby Zamora from Fulham. Castrol EDGE Performance
analysis shows that with an impressive shooting accuracy of 57% and the ability to create a chance
for his teammates every 40 mins, Zamora looks set to play an important role in QPR's battle to
avoid relegation.
With the warm glow of a trip to the Emirates still pervading the senses I am back at the
pre-match keyboard though having read the excellent work done by my substitutes I have much to live
up to.
Before discussing today's Derby, I would like to look back to the Wolves game. I feel we dropped
two points through a mixture of bad luck and poor management.

QPR 2-3 Manchester City: The Thriller in Hammersmith - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Manchester City continued their illustrious and table topping start to the English Premier
League season with a 3-2 away win at Loftus Road against newly promoted Queens Park Rangers.
In truth, the scoreline flattered the travelling Manchester club as QPR fought tooth and nail
with City and nearly upset a top four side for their second consecutive home match when they
defeated Chelsea.
Overall, despite a brief scare that followed Jay Bothroyd's goal in the second half, Spurs' win
over QPR was comfortable and after the match, manager Harry Redknapp declared that his team were a
‘joy to watch' at times.
While Gareth Bale and VDV grabbed the headlines for their goals, Scott Parker and Luka Modric
were brilliant in midfield while the back four were solid enough to cope with any QPR attack.
Okay, maybe 'Premier League stars' is pushing it slightly, but both Dickson Etuhu and Jay
Bothroyd (of Fulham and England fame respectively) turned out for the FIFA '12 Interactive World
Cup (FIWC) UK qualifying tournament in London last night and at least one had their
derrieres handed to them by a 18-year old urchin from Birmingham.
Mark Hughes' first game as Queens Park Rangers manager ended in defeat as Newcastle United
strengthened their European hopes at the Sports Direct Arena on Sunday.
Leon Best's well-taken first-half strike was enough to see off the challenge of QPR and lift his
side up to sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with Arsenal.

Admittedly, I didn't see the game but from what I've read this morning it seemed like Newcastle
were lucky to escape from Loftus Road with a point last night (goal-line clearances, Jay Bothroyd's
pap finishing, etc) as a new-look, post-deadline day QPR XI hit the ground running with, and I know
this may be a little hard to swallow, Shaun Wright-Phillips even putting in a decent, effective
shift.

Newcastle were second best tonight at Loftus Road, and QPR must be wondering how they missed so
many clear cut chances in this game. In the first half alone QPR must have created six good chances
but they squandered all of them, and Jay Bothroyd was the main culprit and Shawn Wright
Phillips on the right wing [.
