Our second club for the day as we get closer to finishing out our look at each 15 MLS clubs
before next week's expansion draft. Earlier in the day we took a look at the lowly New York Red
Bulls, now we turn our attention to one of this year's MLS Cup participants, Real Salt Lake.

Final score 0-0 aet, RSL takes it on penalties, 5-4. First, just like last year, we have to go with
the "AMERICANS: A GEOGRAPHICALLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE award," (given last year under a different name
to): MLS. So...yeah. Salt Lake. In the Eastern Conference finals. Why am I getting visions of MLS
Commissioner Don [.

Will Real Salt Lake and Yura Movsisyan be celebrating at Toyota Park Saturday night? Most agree
that such an accomplishment is possible, yet a Chicago Fire win seems more probable. No matter
what, it should be an entertaining encounter in front of a sellout crowd in Bridgeview.
A lot of the Fire's fortunes will come down to the health of two of their defensive players.

The Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake are probably not the teams most observers would have pegged
to be playing for the Eastern Conference title and berth in MLS Cup, but these two teams earned
their places in the Final Four by virtue of strong first-round performances that should lead into a
memorable East Final on Saturday night (8pm, FSC).

RSL was down on the strength of two Schelotto goals by the 35th minute and it appeared as if
Crew would be able to get over the one goal disadvantage and advance to the quarter finals. But RSL
struck back from a Javier Morales goal two minutes later. Ten minutes later, RSL were awarded a
penalty by referee Baldemero Toledo, a dubious call on Frankie Hejduk as Espindola went down a bit
too easily.

playoff fortunes throughout Saturday night's telecast from Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.

Real Salt Lake comes into town this weekend after trouncing Chivas USA on Wednesday. That's a
perfect recipe for disaster for a team like the Wizards that has scored ONE goal in it's last 6
games (7 if you count the loss vs. Seattle for the US Cup).
I didn't go out to Swope Park to watch practice this week so my lineup prognostication will

received the MLS weekly honor.

I was going to pick out some interesting facts about the All-Star Game and make some lists out
of them (three Colombian MLS All-Stars: Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, Fredy Montero, Wilman Conde). But I
thought it might be more valuable to readers just to have the rosters, especially Everton's. So
here they are:

questionable goal against the Dynamo recently, but that didn't stop him from selecting the

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber has made his two picks for this year's All-Star Game,
and both choices should make the home crowd happy. Real Salt Lake midfielders Javier Morales and
Kyle Beckerman were The Don's selections to suit up against Everton at Rio Tinto Stadium on July
29th, ending questions about whether or not he would use one of his picks to add part-time Los
Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham to the roster.

Yeah we actually are at week 15 here. Hard to believe huh? This weekend is fairly light due to a
number of other games going on like SuperLiga. Then you have that all important game on Sunday
afternoon over in South Africa between the US and Brazil.
I won't go into any big detail about the Brazil/US game and I am honestly undecided on whether
or not to even do a preview of that game.

Much has been said about the level of officiating in Major League Soccer lately. Already several
times this season, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has had to punish players after-the-fact for
egregious mistakes made by referees on the pitch. The latest example occurred this past Saturday
when Real Salt Lake midfielder Javier Morales elbowed Colorado Rapids player Pablo Mastroeni.
