If you're a fan of American soccer and have ears then you need to be listening to "The Best Soccer
Show" with Jason Davis and Jared DuBois on the North American Soccer Network.
Each Monday and Wednesday (a live show) the pair ruminate on the American game, players, news,
views, and get some great interviews with personalities in and around the sport.
The @BestSoccerShow's Jared Dubois says American soccer went pop when it should have
went hip-hop.
If you are lucky to live long enough, you get the scary gift of watching the decades go by
before your eyes.
Green Day went saccharin in a hurry...as did US Soccer says Jared DuBois.
BY ADAM SERRANO
CARSON, Calif. -- There were plenty of lessons learned on Friday as the United States senior
squad soundly defeated the U.S. Under-23's 4-0 in a scrimmage that took place on the Mooch Myernick
Field at the Home Depot Center complex.
In the last couple weeks my friends Jared and Mike -- each fans of the Premier League -- have both
referred to me as an, "expert" in term of my vast soccer knowledge chest. Not sure the level of
sincerity involved in either case, but hey, you take compliments anyway you can get them, even if
they aren't entirely accurate.
This is Part II of TSG's discussion with Amsterdam-based Greg Seltzer of MLSSoccer.com and No
Short Corners. You can find Part I, here.
Gatt and a legend...
Matthew: So who are the key Americans abroad that US fans should truly be
excited by? So many times one goal is enough to chop a forest worth's of timber to power the hype
machine.
Scott Kessler: Hi everyone, I'm hoping we get some questions on such short notice.
Comment From Jared
I'm sure you will. I'll start it off. Have you heard any rumors on further moves the Union is
planning?
Scott Kessler: Jared, I've been looking around without much success of late.
Having been away from US youth teams since 2009, Mainz midfielder Jared Jeffrey recently took part
in the first camp for the US U-23 team as it prepares for Olympic qualifying in March.
Nick learned tonight: If you come in the snack room during the evening hours, you may get
blogged about.Royal-Dominique Fennell plays for Stuttgarter Kickers in the German Regionalliga Süd - the fourth
division. It's actually the club where current MNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann got his start.
I was a guest Sunday on the North American Soccer Network show called, The Best Soccer Show with
hosts Jason Davis and Jared Dubois. We talked the NASL Championship, the NSC Minnesota Stars but
also reviewed the past season and look forward to the future of 2nd division soccer in the United
States and North [.

The last one. Number five. Jared and I close out the buildup to the debut of The Best Soccer Show
on the North American Soccer Network with talk about the USMNT roster and MLS. The debut of TBSS
comes with giveways, sweet ones, so make sure you listen to learn how to get your chance at a copy
of EA's FIFA 12 and Bumpy Pitch gear.

The fourth installment of the Free on a Bosman program, enumerated with the classy Roman numeral
desigination, is here for your enjoyment.
Jared and I start with the good news and the bad news around the USMNT. Just when Holden gets back,
down goes Torres. Gooch is playing well (maybe?
This is Jared Dubois's second feature for The Shin Guardian. You can catch Jared on the
soon-to-launch Best Soccer Show.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Jared.
(Sigh....)
Every boy has a Winnie Cooper.
You know the girl...
The one that you cherished and pined over as the one girl that had it all.
The third installment of FoaB has Jason and Jared talking about the rumors surrounding Timmy
Chandler, Klinsmann effort to find dual internationals, Jozy, Beasley, a round up of MLS and the
playoff race, the MLS A-Team and much more.
Be sure you check us out on Twitter for updates. @mfusa @jrodius
It might be a good idea to check this and this out as well.
- Jason Davis
Jared and I are back, with Free on a Bosman, our interim show while we build up to our new show,
for which details will be released slowly over the next couple of weeks. Still with me?
Good.
In this edition, we talk 9/11 (hafta), Bobby Rhine (again, hafta), the US loss to Belgium and the
state of the team at the moment, the MLS playoff picture, and more.
Jason and Jared are back after a week off to catch up on everything American soccer. There's a
lot. First up, the newest USMNT roster from Jurgen Klinsmann. The guys hit the notable names,
ponder the surprise inclusions and omissions, and try not to take too much of it to heart (it's
Klinsi's second roster, after all).
Jason and Jared are back, in the usual place, to talk about the craziness that was the past
week. Things start with USMNT talk from Wednesday night's Klinsmania before moving on to Major
League Soccer's new TV contract. Jason has a chat with Ben Berger of footiebusiness.com, then
Jason and Jared hash out announcer candidates.
- Jason Davis Sick of my voice yet? Wait, don't answer that. Jared and I, in our usual time slot,
have a new American Soccer Show for your listening enjoyment. We hit on our impressions of
Klinsmann's debut, address a few of the more notable performances from Wednesday, talking about the
good vibes that everyone is buzzing on, and consider the next steps in the next round of
friendlies.
- Jason Davis A little bonus American Soccer Show action for you. After getting together with Jared
to chat with Brian Straus of The Sporting News, we decided it was a good idea to put out a bonus
episode rather than hold on to it over the weekend. In here is a lot of great stuff from Brian on
Klinsmann's debut, the new feeling around the team , Freddy to Philly, and more.
It's a special bonus episode! Woooo! Jason and Jared convened on Friday night to talk to Brian
Straus of The Sporting News about Wednesday's momentous USMNT match, and rather than hold on to it
for the weekend, we thought we should get it out to you immediately. After we get done talking to
Brian, we throw in a few thoughts about the Robbie Keane to LA Galaxy rumors.
And away we go!....
This is the 2nd contribution by Jared DuBois to The Shin Guardian
You can listen to Jared harangue MLS & US Soccer on the American Soccer Show or
pontificate on the glory coming for Los Angeles Galaxy this season in many other places and to
anyone who will listen.
With Jared off identifying the various aromas present in whatever wine he's drinking somewhere
in California, Timm Davis (aka Prixfixeonline) steps in to fill the void. Jason and Timm start
with Klinsmann's first USMNT roster, talk to Elliott Turner, author of the e-book An
Illustrated Guide to Soccer and Spanish, cover a bunch of MLS happpenings while digressing
about young American talent, touch briefly on the "return" of the Cosmos, then close out with talk
of Kitsap, Jozy, and Josh Gatt.
Jason and Jared are back just a few days after the last show, because that what they do. This
show is mostly about Juergen Klinsmann, but there are a few other things thrown in. But about
Klinsmann thing...
So many questions, so little time. Who will Juergen hire as assistants? Which players are set to
benefit?
- Jason Davis
Here we go, the first American Soccer Show of the Juergen Klinsmann Era. How will this era differ
from the last era, which was just a somewhat more successful version of the era before it.
Klinsmann, bringing the revolution?
Jared and I cover most of the relevant questions surrounding Klinsmann's takeover.
So Bob Bradley got fired. That necessitated a live edition of the American Soccer Show, complete
with the usual calls, tweets, and emails. Jason and Jared are here, along withBrian Sciaretta of
Yanks Abroad in the first part of the show to review how Bob got fired, why Bob got fired, and who
is next (we're pretty sure it's that one German guy).
It's that time again, time for Jason and Jared to talk about random pop culture questions like
"What's more 90′s"...I mean cover the week that was in American soccer. The boys start out this
week hitting on Jared's day at the World Football Challenge (ahem meaningless friendly ahem) and
the carry over effect on WPS from the USWNT run and thoughts about soccer owning summer.

It's the Girls in the Cheap Seats World Cup final live post-game show! Co-hosted by Jared DuBois
from the American Soccer Show and with an all-star guest lineup, Amanda, Kirsten, and Megan review
the final of the Women's World Cup. We get reactions from Alexi Lalas and from Joan of Cross
Conference, analyze the match and the tournament from every possible angle (or as much as we could
in an hour), and try to figure out what it all means for WPS, US Soccer, and the sport as a
whole.
Jason. Jared. So You Think You Can Dance? tapings and Jared stepping out on AmSoc. Drama. Well,
not really.
The boys, having done the show before the USWNT's loss in the World Cup final, talk about other
things. First, it's Jared's super aweseme week, reality dancing competitions and guest spots on
other soccer shows included.
Jared Stimson of ToonArmyAmerica has asked me to put these details out for fans who wil be
attending the game against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, July 20th at the Livestrong Sporting
Park. Here's all the information =========================================== We've arranged a get
together for all Toon fans on Tuesday night before the match at Johnny's [.

- Jason Davis Last week got away from me, and I completely forgot to post show 80. If you missed
it, here's the link to the show's blog page. But here's show 81. Jared and I convened immediately
following the US Women's National Team's amazing win over Brazil in the quaterfinals of the Women's
World Cup.
Jason and Jared are ready to move on from the disappointment of the Gold Cup and the uncertainty
surrounding Bob Bradley. Except...we kinda have to address the Bob Bradley thing. The boys talk
about the "statement" that led to so much speculation, run down two very different lists of
possible candidates, and debate the merits of changing things up.
Jason and Jared moved the show up a day and went LIVE in the immediate aftermath of the USMNT's
crushing defeat at the hands of the hated Mexicans. We take calls from the get because people are
naturally worked up with topics ranging from Bob Bradley's job security to what went wrong and if
there's any way to fix it.
You asked, we delivered. Another live midweek show to cover the Gold Cup happenings. Jared and I
took to the UStream channel last night to talk about the USMNT's win over Panama and American
chances against Mexico on Saturday. The theme of the show: Three Questions. 1. Should Donovan
start? 2.
Jason and Jared hit the webwaves again to talk about the USMNT win over Panama and look ahead to
Saturday's final against Mexico. We've got three questions for you, and none of them have to do
with Freddy Adu. We talk Adu of course, along with every possible thing there is to talk about.
We've got calls, tweets and emails, as well as a note on the trouble up in Revs country.
The USA managed to rebound from a distressing 1-0 win over Guadaloupe with an emphatic 2-0 win over
Jamaica on Sunday afternoon at RFK. Jared and I took to UStream immediately after the match to give
our impressions, get fan reaction, and consider what has changed since last week in Kansas City.
Thanks for listening.
Jason and Jared took to the Internet webwaves on Thursday night to talk about the dodgy USMNT
Gold Cup campaign. Clint's aberration, Donovan's disappearing act, Bob's hot seat, the perception
of the fans...it's all in there. Plus tweets, emails, and calls. CSRN MEDIA PLAYER
A while back, we helped NSC pal Jared Montz get out the word on their drive to raise money for
Nothing But Nets and now he's provided us with a summary clip of the event outcome. Good stuff and
something I think can grow in leaps every time it goes down. We had some great folks out there set
the example for next time.
Jared Burdick opened the scoring with an early 35-yard strike, and
Abdel Baji had a pair of goals as Madison United cruised past Mad City FC 4-0 to
win the Keva Over-30 men's championship on Friday night at Firefighters Park in Middleton.
Burdick's long-range shot put United (10-6-2) ahead just 8 minutes into the match, and Baji
scored twice with great individual efforts on either side of halftime.
By Jason Kuenle Over the weekend, Jason Davis and Jared DuBois discussed the merits of having the
Spain match three days before the start of the Gold Cup on The American Soccer Show. In doing so,
they inspired my Devil's Advocate side. In reflecting on what Spain brought to the table and what
possible benefit it could have on for a US team in preparation for the Gold Cup, I was left with
this thought; more than anything, playing Spain was a test of decision making.
