So Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft has just concluded. It was a bit more lively than Stage 1 but still not hugely impactful. Most teams passed outright with the Los Angeles Galaxy taking a starring role by adding four players and picking up two of their own players again.

Unsurprisingly the Portland Timbers passed on Stage 2 and also passed on selecting their own players once again.

When CS Herediano beat the Seattle Sounders on Tuesday night it was not because they dominated play. It was because the team in Electricity acted more like a car battery that was low on charge and couldn't push the starter over. There were only a handful of opportunities for either side and the Costa Rican team's keeper had a brilliant save or two that took a game from a possible draw to a 1-nil win.

Kevin Stott pointed to the spot before pointing upfield in a sweeping motion.

Although the fans will probably remember Referee Kevin Stott's no calls on penalty kicks, or Alvaro Fernandez's missed penalty kick, this game will go down as a wasted opportunity for Sounders to level the series with Chivas while they rebuild the roster.

Although the fans will probably remember Referee Kevin Stott's no calls on penalty kicks, or Alvaro Fernandez's missed penalty kick, this game will go down as a wasted opportunity for Sounders to level the series with Chivas while they rebuild the roster. Sounders seemed to have control of the possession through the midfield with Osvaldo Alonso, Erik Friberg and Mauro Rosales for much of the game.

You asked, you shall receive. If you feel like joining the action by following along through Twitter, please feel free to do so here. Among the topics that are probably worth some discussion is the surprise inclusion of one Danny Berrera on the bench. Apparently, he's a UC Santa Barbara product who is considering a move to the pro game and would have to go through the waiver draft.

Against RSL, Jaqua had a great night, notching two assists. The first goal was pretty much all Jaqua, while he set up the second goal in a big way. He clearly demonstrated yesterday why he is in the starting eleven while healthy. Though he deserves criticism for underperforming so far, Sigi has faith in him and so do I.

Just some quick notes from my perspective at the half line. Gorgeous day for a game there.

  • We can put to bed the O'Brian White question for a while - At this point even the doubters have to admit that he's a target forward that's worth starting. He has a different game than Jaqua but he wins as many balls as anyone we've played in that position over the years.
