You asked, you shall receive. If you feel like joining the action by following along through
Twitter, please feel free to do so here. Among the topics that are probably worth some discussion
is the surprise inclusion of one Danny Berrera on the bench. Apparently, he's a UC Santa Barbara
product who is considering a move to the pro game and would have to go through the waiver
draft.
Entering the match, the two sides came in limping. Vancouver were on a four match losing streak and
San Jose had gone winless in six.
San Jose's Strategy Frank Yallop started with a 4-2-3-1
formation, using Wondolowski on the left side instead of as a strike partner for Lenhart. Lenhart's
job was to hold up the ball and he took quite a pummeling doing so.
Welcome to the New England Revolution vs. Vancouver Whitecaps home match live game thread!
Since I just released the preview a few hours ago, I'll cut right to the keys of the game. The
Revolution have to score, and they should probably score quickly. Vancouver's defense is big and
physical but not particularly effective; most of their strength lies in attack, but their offense
is erratic.

The Chicago Fire dominated the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps in every category except the
scoreline as the two teams battled to a scoreless draw at Toyota Park.
Chicago began the game with a flurry of chances that went begging.
I'll admit it, I haven't been updating as much as I should be. But it's crunch time right now for
me, as everything seems to be culminating at once. Anyways, I was able to watch the Whitecaps lose
to the Columbus Crew yesterday. While there were plenty of negatives, there were also a few
positives. And so instead of offering up another bland match report, I've decided to list the five
things we've learned from the Whitecaps loss to the Columbus Crew.

The expansion Vancouver Whitecaps are coming to Houston for the first time and will get one
chance to enjoy the "unique accommodations" of Robertson Stadium. It's the first match back at
Robertson for the Dynamo since their season opening loss to the Union on March 19th.
The Dynamo are coming off a 1-0 extra time loss to Sporting Kansas City in the U.
Before the match against Sporting Kansas City, I wrote with great joy five reasons why the
Whitecaps would defeat Kansas City. Yet, when the match started things weren't looking as positive
as I had tried to make them out to be. And when the Whitecaps found themselves 1-0 down right
before halftime, things were not looking good.

It was the first time two Canadian teams have faced off in Major League Soccer. As a spectacle,
it was an exciting game to watch for the neutral, and a great advert for soccer in this country. On
top of that, we saw many Canadian players on display. The Whitecaps featured two Canadian players
and Toronto FC had 5 Canadians take the field.
The final match of the Cascadia Summit gives fans an opportunity to see the depth of the
Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders teams as the starters for both teams went earlier in the
weekend. Seattle's Second XI features more speed on offense and less on defense.
For Vancouver the lineup will be several of their USSF D2 players will be on the pitch in Jay
Nolly, Wes Knight and Nizar Khalfan.
We've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in the preseason matches from the Whitecaps. The good
came right away, with the 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. The bad came against the Seattle
Sounders, the 105 minute training match which finished 1-0 for the Sounders. And the ugly came
today against Chivas USA, especially in the first half when the team was too defensive.

PHOENIX – The absence of creases on the cheekbones of his weathered face tells you enough.
Vancouver Whitecaps coach Teitur Thordarson is not one for smiling.
But Thordarson couldn't help but force a hint of a smirk after the Whitecaps' 2-1 win in a
scrimmage of two 45-minute halves over the Columbus Crew at the Reach 11 Soccer Complex.
