I can't believe it's come so quickly, but this is it: the 14th and final home game of the 2009
Austin Aztex season. It will also be the last game they'll ever play at Nelson Field, since they're
moving to House Park next year.
The Portland Timbers make their second trip to town Monday evening, Sept.

Saturday, August 29, will see the Austin Aztex back home again at Nelson Field. The 7:30 game,
against the Miami FC Blues, will be their next-to-last home game, and their last weekend game, of
the season (the very last game will be on Monday, Sept. 7).
Miami stumbles into town this weekend in extraordinary shape.

With one place in the US Open Cup semifinals already guaranteed, Major League Soccer clubs took two
more slots on Tuesday. Houston finally broke their jinx at Blackbaud and DC United got past
Harrisburg. Wilmington 1 - Rochester 2 A Tai Atieno goal in the 54th minute and an Andrew Gregor
penalty in the 67th had Rochester up two goals before Wilmington got on the board through Jamie
Watson in the 72nd.

FC Dallas made some roster moves yesterday, although all of them are technicalities. First the Red
Stripes signed first round draft pick George John, then they waived four players: Jamie Watson,
Chase Wileman, Sean Bucknor, and Andrew Daniels. It's important to remember in this context that
FCD had to be roster compliant on Monday, March 2nd.

The first excitement, as you've probably seen, was when Jamie Watson signed with FC Dallas. That
was just over a week ago, but already he's traveled to Toronto for Dallas' 2-0 win over TFC (though
he didn't see minutes in that game). Then this week, he played for the FC Dallas reserve team in a
match against Real Salt Lake's reserves.

Told ya I had more FC Dallas news. Yesterday, FC Dallas signed midfielder and Dallas-area native
Jamie Watson to a developmental deal. The 22-year-old Watson spent the past three seasons with Real
Salt Lake, where he scored two goals and added one assist in 38 regular season games. He was
selected by RSL with the 13th overall [.
