Quick Reminder, Real Life Despite a load of money spent on transfer window signings, Wolves found
themselves in the relegation zone on the last day of the season but miraculously survived -
finishing the season with 40 points - only one more than both Birmingham and Blackpool. Despite a
-20 goal difference on the season, Wolves had some memorable wins at home (they beat Manchester
United and
Whatever the hell you think is going on at Chelsea right now, whatever you think the club is
mired in A Carlo-esque bad moment, crisis, et al. it doesn't matter. What we all can agree on is
that anything less than a win this weekend at home to Wolves is going to see the shit hit the
proverbial fan.
It was a bit of an unusual Saturday for me in terms of my viewing habits. I began the day by
watching Portsmouth against Birmingham City in the FA Cup. But instead of watching my customary
10am ET Premier League match, I watched Nottingham Forest against Swansea City and later regretted
it after seeing Forest's late winner go in to the back of the net.
It was a weekend that was at times as smooth as a Guti backheel, as bleak as a cold stare from
the lugubrious one and as heroic as a late winner off the head of a man who looks to save face for
club and country. There was a relegation 6-pointer and a massive title implication match between
old foes, all offering the best of the Barclays Premier League.
It's been a funny old week in Planet Tottenham. After the Modric mess of last weekend, it's all
gone slightly quiet on that particular front. After the startling admission from Moddle that he
wanted to jump ship and climb aboard the Villas Boas revolution a Stamford Bridge and Daniel Levy's
frank rebuttal of those plans, we were all expecting further fireworks.
Hazing the new guy Note: This was written yesterday, but didn't post for whatever reason. Sky
Sports is reporting that Wolves have finalized their long-expected signing of Jamie O'Hara from
Spurs. Owner-chairman Steve Morgan has revealed Wolves still have other targets in mind this summer
after completing their move for Jamie O'Hara.
The long protracted deal involving Jamie O'Hara was finally come to fruition with confirmation
of his transfer to Wolves. The 24 year old joins on a five year deal following a loan spell with
the West Midlands club for a fee worth £5m.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is certainly pleased with the deal: "Jamie made a big impact when he
first came here," he said.
It may be one of the candidates for the least surprising piece of transfer news this summer, but
it would seem that the Jamie O'Hara saga is about to come to a conclusion. Reports are coming
through that the player has already agreed personal terms with Wolves and the ink is expected on a
£5m deal any day now.
While we ran the rule over Steven Pienaar yesterday, another Spurs midfielder was receiving
great praise from his manager. However, the player in question was Jamie O'Hara and the manager was
Mick McCarthy of Wolves – Jamie's loan club.
If it hadn't been for the problems at crisis club Portsmouth, O'Hara may well have left the club
last season and if Wolves secure Premiership survival, the player's Spurs career could be finally
over.
t was pointed out on here in one of the comments that it's not that easy to get rid of our
fringe players if nobody wants them. Players such as Bale and Modric are naturally going to be in
demand but there aren't exactly a flood of rumours concerning the likes of O'Hara, Bentley and
Keane.
The news that Wolves striker Kevin Doyle could miss the rest of the season must have rocked all
those associated with the club. Doyle lasted a total of 20 minutes in the Republic of Ireland's
Euro 2012 qualifying win over Macedonia before limping off with a knee injury.
Republic of Ireland coach Giovanni Trappattoni has claimed Doyle has suffered medial ligament
damage and will be out for one or two months, news that Wolves had yet to deny or confirm.
Spurs as a club may not have been in action over the weekend but there were plenty of Tottenham
players on show for various clubs.
At West Brom, Jamie O'Hara scored a stunning goal for Wolves to earn a 1-1 draw, while David
Bentley was a second half substitute in Birmingham's 3-0 FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Could the exit door have the name of Jermaine Jenas written on it by the end of the transfer
window?
While many have expected a mini exodus of Spurs' midfielders this month, JJ wasn't reckoned to
be one of them, but with Aston Villa suddenly finding the money they denied Martin O'Neill, they
have supposedly asked Tottenham to ‘name their price'.
Putting rumour and gossip aside for one second there have been some updates on our walking
wounded this week.
Both Jamie O'Hara and Johnathan Woodgate featured in our friendly against Charlton on Tuesday.
O'Hara played for 70 minutes, as he looks to prove his fitness ahead of a proposed January
move.
Midfielders Jamie O'Hara & Niko Kranjcar both seem almost certain to be headed for the exit door
this month, either on a temporary or permanent basis.
Over the weekend, the Teamtalk website first announced that Kranjcar had confirmed his desire to
leave the club. The catalyst seems to have been the arrival of Steven Pienaar.
Remember Jamie O'Hara? With the arrival of Steven Pienaar adding to the embarrassment of riches
in midfield, there are truly some forgotten men in the ranks at Tottenham.
O'Hara, whose last competitive outing was last season's F A Cup final while playing for
Portsmouth against Chelsea, took his place in a strong Spurs XI that demolished a QPR side 9-2 on
Tuesday.
Who they have bought: Yaya ‘rip-off' Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng, Â
Aleksandar Kolarov
Who they need:They need to offload before they decide to buy again, but the
fact is that they have a young talented team that needs nurturing, not replacing.
O'Hara turning the other cheek. Portsmouth's troubles boiled over on to the training ground on
Monday when a practice match erupted into fisticuffs between midfielders Michael Brown and Jamie
O'Hara. With the cash-strapped club's future hanging in the balance this week, the tension was
palpable at their Eastleigh training complex and Brown was making his presence known with
over-zealous tackles

never post before you've had your coffee.O'Hara returns to PompeyTottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara
has joined Portsmouth on loan until the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspurs seem set to lose midfielder Jamie O'Hara and striker David Bentley as both have
got clubs interested in them for the next season. O'Hara will be Portsmouth first signing after the
transfer ban on them is partially lifted. Pompey's please were heard by the authorities to lift the

Debt -hit Portsmouth have been forced to sell players to recover from the situation. Chief
Executive of the club, Peter Storrie has confirmed that they are looking for buyers all the star
players to avoid the club from going down. The club has been going through a financial crisis for
sometime but matters became worse as [.
Ibra brought you the sad story of Eric Frimpong, and the New Year is being quite unkind to
Portsmouth FC as well. The South Coast club once again missed payments to its players and staff
totaling 1.8 million Pounds. The FA has plans in place to funnel TV money directly to English clubs
that Pompey owe money (good news for Tottenham, Chelsea and Watford).

Gianfranco Zola will attempt to persuade arch rivals Tottenham to sell them Jamie O'Hara this
summer. The West Ham boss is willing to bid up to £5m to sign the 23 year old midfielder and hopes
to beat the likes of Wolves to his signature.
With a heavy heart, we are forced to sit down on this warm Spring evening and contemplate this
latest Tottenham failing, a disappointment so fierce that it's difficult to foresee a happy ending.
Rest assured, this one hurts. It's up there with last year's Carling Cup final defeat, the 3-0
thrashing at the Emirates earlier this season and maybe even 2006 and Lasagne-gate.
While Spurs were playing two players out of position in central midfield against Stoke, in an
effort to make sure that Wilson Palacios didn't get another booking and leave us even shorter
staffed in this area, a potential solution to our problems was busy down in Portsmouth.
For all those people who always say that Jamie O'Hara isn't up to playing for Spurs, I offer you
this.
I've found the situation with Jamie O'Hara very frustrating. Here is a young player who very
much wants to play for Spurs and has always put everything into it when he does, yet hasn't been
given much in the way of opportunities.
This season he's found himself out on loan at Portsmouth and whilst playing every week will help
with O'Hara's development, it's been annoying to see him playing much better for Pompey than
Jermaine Jenas has for Tottenham.
I'll try and avoid writing up speculation pieces on players for the time being, as the maelstrom
that is the January transfer window starts to shift into gear. Naturally we're being linked with a
new player every day so it's hard to sort out the wheat from the chaff for the most part.
Turbulent. One word to describe the roller-coaster ride of Mike Ashley's reign at Newcastle United.
But with various reports cropping up about players that we are looking at and with the return of
the scouting system that brought us the likes of Tamas Kadar, Haris Vuckic and Nile Ranger, could
this be the signal that [.
And so it begins. In anticipation of what many people percieve as automatic promotion the press
have decided to set the wheel of their transfer rumour moving decidedly early this year. Already we
are being linked with a few names that apparently we would be chasing should our promotion be
ensured. Top of our summer shopping [.
