Manchester City will then pitch up at Upton Park and make off with Matthew Upson and
Herita Ilunga, and as Gianfranco Zola is left to fight relegation with a crack unit of training
cones, Mark Hughes will continue on his merry way over to Barcelona, where he'll drop off Robinho
and attempt to persuade Yaya Touré to come protect his brother out at Eastlands.

David N'Gog won a controversial penalty that spared under-pressure Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez
a humiliating home defeat to Birmingham in a 2-2 draw at Anfield. The draw means Liverpool, with
only one win in nine matches, are seventh but 11 points behind leaders Chelsea. Birmingham stay
15th, two points above the drop zone.

Eight red cards, thirty two goals and more talking points than a Peter Andre exclusive, Gameweek
11 had everything. Even by the implausibly high standards set in Fantasy Football, this week was a
bit special.
Whether you winced as Shay Given batted away James McFadden's penalty, rejoiced as Jamie
Carragher finally got his comeuppance, or sat indifferently as Phil Brown's tenure at Hull
approached its conclusion, chances are you will have had an exciting last seven days in the world
of Fantasy Football.

Lovely bit of footwork by Van Persie in the box and a snappy finish after Song feeds him of a
sloppy clearance by Birmingham. Eboue stretches Birmingham wide before dishing to Rosicky who
centers the ball which evades everyone before Diaby arrives to notch up the Gunners second
goal.
But Arsenal would not be Arsenal if it did not believe in shooting themselves in the foot.

Just four and a half matches into James McFadden's return to the Premier League, fate has struck
in a not so friendly manner. Halfway through Birmingham City's clash with Aston Villa in the Second
City Derby, McFadden, the Blues' fearless leader, was carted off the field. All reports have
indicated that he has a torn thigh muscle.

As George Burley said, Scotland deserved at least something from the match at home in which they
threatened the woodwork serially.

I settled down yesterday afternoon ready for one of those great footballing days that come along
every now and again. I had the prospect of 4 matches in a row to keep me entertained (including
Charlton v Brentford!) and to see if Scotland could get a win against Macedonia. It was an
opportunity to run the rule over a few players who have returned to regular football in the
Premiership and see just what Scotland could do.

Celtic's Scott Brown scored the opener for George Burley's Scotland side, still hoping to clinch
second spot in their World Cup group. Birmingham City's James McFadden made the game safe with a

.Scotland managed to keep their slim world cup dream alive as they overcame a stubborn and
technical Macedonian side. The boo's and jeers rang out around a wet Hampden Park at half-time as

I don't know about the rest of you, but when it comes to sports, I'm a numbers guy. I love
statistics! It could be as simple as how many points Manchester United is away from winning their
fourth Premier League title in a row (that number should be three points lower after Wednesday, but
Burnley really messed with that stat) or as complex as what Everton's home record is when Yakubu
scores with his right foot opposed to his left.

Man Utd did enough to beat Birmingham, 1-0 despite the absence of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja
Vidic, their regular center backs both out with injuries. Jonny Evans and John O'Shea took their
place and managed to keep the Blues away.
Michael Owen came on the 74th minute for Dimitar Berbatov and had some nice touches.

Birmingham are back in the top-flight, but you won't find too many people tipping them to stay
there for too long. They have made a lot of signings in the off-season, but the majority - if not
all - of them have been players who will be new to the Premier League or who have been found
wanting.

next few weeks we'll know who out of Reading, Burnley, Sheffield United, and Preston North End will

A few injuries and bad luck spoil their season each year, but why exactly are Everton even so
good?
First off, having a great manager always helps.
