Skyhawks score early, rout Rangers

For the second time in three seasons, the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team ended Regis University's season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament semifinal.

The Rangers ran into a buzzsaw on Friday in Durango as the Skyhawks, ranked No. 2 in the nation, rolled to a 6-1 victory, dropping the Rangers to 9-6-4.

Rangers roll in weather makeup match

The Regis University men's soccer team sent its four seniors off in style, defeating Colorado Christian 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a makeup game from Friday. The Rangers ended the regular season with a 9-5-4 record and will face Fort Lewis in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament on Friday afternoon.

Fort Lewis takes 49 shots in 11-0 victory

Euan Purcell's treble and Byron Cephers' brace led the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team as it recorded an 11-0 victory against Colorado Christian University on Sunday in Lakewood.

Fort Lewis, ranked No. 6 in the nation, recorded 49 shots in the victory to improve to 13-1 overall, 10-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Copeland’s goal helps Regis tie Mines

James Copeland scored as the Regis University men's soccer team tied the 15th-ranked Colorado School of Mines on Friday in Denver.

Regis remained unbeaten in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Rangers' record is 4-2-3 overall, 2-0-3 in conference.

"Whenever you play Mines, it is going to be a tough match, especially when they are ranked in the Top 15," Regis coach Tony McCall said.
