A slow start once again came back to haunt the US as they lost to Panama 2-1 in the Gold Cup last night. Just as in the World Cup last summer, the U.S. fell behind in the first half, made a big recovery in the second half, but were not quite able to get back on levels terms. TAMPA, Fla. A 2-0 halftime deficit proved too much for the United States Men's National Team to overcome on Saturday night as they were upset 2-1 by Panama in their second match of CONCACAF Gold Cup group play. The loss was the U.S.'s first ever to Panama and first ever in the CONCACAF Gold Cup group stages.
