It's not been a great few weeks for Arsenal FC, that's putting it mildly too, as if the loss of
Cesc Fabregas and the imminent departure of Sami Nasri wasn't bad enough, Arsenal have also failed
to score a goal in their first two Premier League games and have the difficult task of qualifying
for the Champions League tonight.
Another rumor, another target? Could this transfer ignite Arsenal's season if it happens?
BBC Sport have reported that The Gunners are on the verge of bidding 26m for the 20-year old
Belgium wonder kid.
Hazard, a distant cousin of Thomas Vermaelen was named Ligue 1 player of the season, after
Lille's league and cup double.
Arsene Wenger is expected to make some big-name signings at long last with days remaining before
the transfer window closes.
It emerged that Kaka, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines, Yann M'Vila & Lille forward Eden Hazard are
all possible targets*.
But here lies the problems, Arsenal fans, including myself are fed up with that word.
The next three matches are the most important matches in Arsene's time at Arsenal. Never has an
Arsenal team been so short of quality players and never has our season hung on thread so early.
Three defeats and the fans will be calling for Arsene's head, three undefeated games and Arsene
will have bought time to restructure the squad.
The Daily Mail reports that Shakhtar Donetsk have confirmed Arsenal's interest in Jadson and
have left his future in his hands.
Mircea Lucescu, head coach of the Ukrainian champions:
" I can confirm Jadson is wanted by Arsenal,' said Lucescu. 'Now it all depends on
him.
The rumours last week were saying that Arsenal were lining up the Brazilian Jadson from Shakhtar
Donetsk as a marquee signing to announce when Fabregas transfer to Barcelona is confirmed, but
Wenger was directly asked about it on Friday he said: "nowhere near on Jadson" and said the club
were "not talking to Shakhtar about [.
It seems that everyone and his dog now knows that Cesc Fabregas will be playing for Barcelona next
season (except Arsenal.com of course!) and it appears that Arsene Wenger has been dragging his feet
so that he has got his marquee signing ready to be unveiled at the same time. Whether that will
lessen the [.
Jadson is on Wenger's wish list
Reports out of Spain indicate that Cesc Fabregas will be unveiled as Barca's newest player on
Monday. He's expected to attend the Super Cup between Barca and Real Madrid tomorrow. However the
backloaded 6m euros variable are said to still be holding up the deal.
Its clear that Arsene Wenger needs someone new at Arsenal as months of ongoing transfer gossip
involving the sales of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas finally look to be coming to a close.
Team spirit is Wenger's number one priority, he constantly repeats it in his interviews, and I
would strongly concur with him.
Arsene Wenger has already moved to replace Cesc Fabregas with Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder
Jadson coming to Arsenal, according to reports. We are on the verge of losing Cesc to Barcelona in
a deal worth up to £36million, and it seems AW has wasted no time in trying to secure a
replacement.
