West Ham Can Win With The Right Tactical Formation 4-4-2

The Flat Back Four 08 November @ 08:13 AM EST
West Ham finally got their second win of the season with a last minute Zavon Hines' equaliser. It was a match that Villa lost rather than West Ham winning it. Nevertheless, the spirit and determination of Zola's men cannot be faulted and definitely this must spur the Hammers to climb up the Premiership table. Click to continue reading...

Monday Morning Manager

Fantasy EPL 02 November @ 12:32 PM EST
Good week for me -- great Saturday then gave most of it back on Sunday. 107 points with five 2-gamers. Not that I'm expecting much from them. More on that after the jump. Cue the Ennio Morricone... The Good RvP (32) I especially love the assist for Cesc's goal where Palacios just passes it against him in the center circle. Click to continue reading...

Early Doors

Fantasy EPL 29 October @ 04:37 PM EST
As we edge closer and closer to decision day, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my line-up and frantic in my trade ideas. I think you'll see from the roundtable - after the jump - that I've come to a conclusion, but that Neal is sensibly (and probably in my best interests) trying to talk me back from it. The Two Missed Ingredients In West Ham's Premiership Form

The Flat Back Four 09 October @ 12:56 PM EST
All through this week I have been trying to find reasons (and excuses) for West Ham's lack of form in the Barclays Premier League. But today I believed that I may have found the reason as to why the Hammers have failed to receive rewards for their slick one-touch football.
Filtering through the English Premiership news and results, two missing players stood out and Zola have not been able to compensate for their absence. Click to continue reading...

E-boo-e no more and Tommy needs a song

Arsenal Insider 20 September @ 02:56 AM EST

by CARL ELDRIDGE Well, that was a stroll in the sunshine at the Emirates yesterday if ever I saw one. And one player strolling with great purpose was Emmanuel Eboue, who had plenty to be pleased with after nudging a goal in the Gunners' comfortable 4-0 triumph over Wigan.

For it was against Wigan last season that Eboue, on as a sub, was himself subbed, and the decision by Arsene Wenger was applauded and he left the field to boos.

Blackburn Rovers vs. West Ham United: Expect A Physical Battle

The Flat Back Four 28 August @ 10:19 AM EST
West Ham travel to Ewood Park this Saturday to face Blackburn Rovers. Blackburn are pointless after the first three matches and will be tough to play against at home. The Hammers received a boost this morning when Zola managed to capture the signing of talented Alessandro Diamanti.
Hopefully, Diamanti will have a part to play in the match tomorrow afternoon. Click to continue reading...

the ugly side of the beautiful game

So I know I usually post on Wednesdays, but as I'm off Uni for two weeks I somewhat lost track of the days and completely forgot that yesterday was in fact Wednesday. So here's an article to make up for it. Seeing the terrible violence and ridiculous behaviour of those so called football fans at Upton [. Click to continue reading...

West Ham and Millwall remind us that hooliganism is still alive and well

SoccerLens 26 August @ 12:38 PM EST

The only surprising thing about the violence at Upton Park in the Carling Cup tie between West Ham and Millwall was that anybody was surprised by it.

From the moment the draw was made, all the signs of trouble were there. Two clubs with supporters from the lower-end who genuinely hate each other.

Tough Week For West Ham Climaxes In Violence

The Offside 26 August @ 08:00 AM EST
[Dirty Tackle] It began a couple days ago with the stabbing of Calum Davenport in his home; it was exacerbated by the death of Jack Collison's father, who was on his way to watch his son take on Tottenham; and all was seen toppling over during the Carling Cup match against Millwall last night in a [. Jamie Redknapp Names his Ten Players Who Will Light Up the New Season!

Caught Offside 11 August @ 12:49 PM EST

These ten were named by Jamie Redknapp as those who would make a big impression in the coming season. We therefore have no choice but to place a picture of Jamie's missus on the site!

JACK WILSHERE (Arsenal) A 5ft 5in player might have struggled in the Premier League land of the giants until Xavi and Iniesta, that devilishly talented Spanish midfield duo, made it fashionable to be small — and a midfield match-winner.

The H List - End of Year Ramblings (Part 2)

The H List 05 June @ 05:12 AM EST
Midfielders
Valon Behrami : Appearances - 27, Goals - 2, Bookings - 5

When I heard that we had signed Valon Behrami I just shrugged in that uber cool, but still quite attractive, way that I do. "So what?" I wondered. And for the first few games my insouciance seemed reasonable as Behrami ran around a lot but failed to have any tangible impression on anything. Click to continue reading...

Super Carr Drives The Hammers

But Hammers heroes Geoff Hurst, Bobby Moore and Martin Peters not only brought glory to club and country, they left the East Enders with a legacy for generations to come. Click to continue reading...
