Are Arsenal in for Clint Dempsey? by KJ Twitter today has again exploded at the prospect of another
transfer. An account more akin to an ITK announced that Arsenal were in talks with Clint Dempsey
and all that's left is for an official transfer bid to be made. Here are the quotes from
@sport_trend: #ARSENAL: [.
Arsenal have reportedly completed a deal to bring the Belgian International to The Emirates.
"Agent_ITK also got Podolski to Arsenal & Bendtner to Sunderland moves spot on, months before
deals were confirmed. #ReliablyInformed"
"Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle with Ajax for defender Jan Vertonghen, according to very
reliable sources.
White Hart Lane. Sunday 28th August. 1.30pm Kick off. ESPN.
Spurs kicked off last season with a 0-0 draw against City at The Lane. City were lucky that day
as Joe Hart was their star, keeping Spurs at bay in a match that the home side should have won
easily.
Every year, Tottenham are linked with a galaxy of stars. On the forums you read ‘We need a
striker, we need a left back, we need a centre half' and so on and so on. Virtually a whole team,
despite just being a couple of wins
from a Champions league space last season.
The ITK's come out of the woodwork claiming that a friend of a friend of Daniel Levy's gardener
has heard ********* (insert any world class player you wish), is in talks with the club about an
imminent deal.
Ah, Everton. A team I should have some fondness for because they've got noisy neighbours like us
and while I was growing up for some reason most of my friends wore their blue and pretended they
were Neville Southall or Tony Cottee, but I don't. It annoys me how they go from one season to the
next flitting between challenging for Europe or escaping relegation.
Now then, the ITK's on all the Spurs Forums have gone into overdrive today! Two different
self-titled ITK's have said that Scott Parker is at this very minute, at Spurs Lodge.
If we are going to sign anyone today, I expect it to be Scotty Parker to be honest. West Ham is a
club in complete disarray at the moment.
Yet another day, week or month passes this summer with nothing happening in the world of
Tottenham Hotspur. No signings, pointless friendlies, not even the excitement of anticipation of
your new shirt being delivered. Hell, most of us haven't even received our season tickets or
memberships yet.
Spurs forum threads everywhere are going mad with the announcement that Tottenham Hotspur Chairman,
Daniel Levy, has brokered a deal with a "secret massive company" that has, in principle, agreed to
pay the club more than the £8.5 million per season Mansion were shelling out.
Some of the ITK's (yeah, I know a lot of you hate that term) have said that the deal is only for
Premier League games.
COYS very own Legend and ITK (In The Know), POTL, yesterday announced that Joe
Cole was in talks with us over a move to The Lane.
Apparently, the Spurs lads at the World Cup did a pretty good job of convincing Joe that White Hart
Lane is the place to be. Let's face it, Cole wouldn't have received any advice from the England
Arsenal players, would he?
Other than fatboy Fowler mouthing off about Liverpool wanting our manager, the Liverpool contingent
in the office have said that "it's a done deal".
Some of them would like to think that they are Special Liverpool ITK's and have said that the
Liverpool board have discussed his appointment, whilst others have even put money on it happening.
First he loves us, then he's leaving, now he's back for good. That's the story of Harry Redknapp's
love affair with Tottenham Hotspur. And the whole crisis came and went in 36 hours. Here's how.
Yesterday a well-respected poster on a long established Spurs messageboard, who is not given to
predictions let alone outrageous ITK, made [.
There are reports circulating today that Jermaine Jenas has submitted a transfer request. He has
been linked with a move to Inter for a while after Jose Mourinho voiced his admiration for the
player earlier in the summer. I wouldn't be that surprised to see JJ go. I get the impression he
probably thinks he's a bit better than Tottenham and probably also expected to have moved on to a
bigger club before now although his performances for us haven't demonstrated that he's worthy of
such a move.
Matt Upson is a player Harry Redknapp is very keen on. He had an enquiry rebuffed in January but
will be going back with a further approach in the summer. Although the Tottenham defence is solid,
Redknapp believes he still needs another top class centre half especially if his side make it into
Europe next season.

The final piece of four wrapping up the season, delayed by a few mishaps but here
finally
So let's pull this all together. I've looked back at the players, the team and the manager. It's
been a positive season with unforgettably cracking football and the blazing thrill of the Champions
League tainted by the frustration of what might have been.
"It's nearly the end of June now. If this is the new kit, why aren't spurs flogging it to bits?
Very unlike them to miss a chance of making a couple of quid."
The above was posted today by Michael Evans, as he commented on the article Photoshopped to
Death: Spurs New Kits.
Steve Bruce has the respect of his board at Sunderland, and the biggest reason is because of the
qualities and values of the players that he brings into the club. George Caulkin of the Times
reports on the stability that Sunderland looks to achieve with Bruce at the helm.
We already know what Bruce's Sunderland means, or will come to mean.
Mabbs has been pestering me to post on his blog for ages now and I have finally given in. My
name is Miss Spur and lets just say I work closely with the club. I was passing on bits of news
last year, some good and some bad but all genuinely what had been passed onto myself. Please don't
take it all as gospel.
