I wrote yesterday that Fabio Capello And FA were set for a fireworks meeting today with neither
site apparently ready to concede ground over John Terry.
Well after meeting today, it became apparent that the two sides could no longer work together
and the FA has announced that Fabio Capello has stepped down as England manager.
Fabio Capello showing what he thinks of the FA's decision to nix Terry's captaincy
The FA and Fabio Capello are increasingly at odds with each other over John Terry's captaincy.
The Italian was vocal in his support of the Chelsea defender using the cover of the deferred legal
case as a presumption of innocence till proven guilty.
Today (Wednesday) the FA and Fabio Capello are expected to meet over the John Terry situation,
and it appears that neither side is willing to concede anything to the other.
Capello will be asked by Football Association chairman David Bernstein to explain why he
committed a serious breach of FA protocol in his explosive Italian television interview on
Sunday.
Very rarely do I ever cover a complete interview written in the press or featured in a published
interview. I'd rather take a snippet from it and discuss the key point I want to discuss and post a
link to the rest of it.
However, Carlo Ancelotti is featured this morning in an interview with Matt Lawton in the Daily
Mail and it's an intriguing and interesting interview.
Liverpool is reportedly considering contesting Juventus in the race for Catania defender Matias
Silvestre.
According to Italian TV service Mediaset Premium, the Reds and Juve are both pursuing the Argentine
centre-back, who could leave the Stadio Angelo Massimino for around €5 million.
Silvestre's price-tag is tempered by the fact he only has one year to remain on his contract, so
Catania may be forced to cash-in should Liverpool come knocking.
If you thought what AC Milan's midfielder did to the Spurs was bad, you should've seen how he
sliced his celery last night on Italian TV show "La Notte Degli Chef ", filmed in Milan, Italy.

Actually, place it carefully to one side.
