Following the completion of the Euro 2012 Qualifying Play-Offs, from which Portugal, Croatia,
Czech Republic and the Republic of Ireland all qualified this week, all sixteen teams that will be
participating in Poland and the Ukraine next June are now known.
The Play-Offs saw the eight runners up of the qualifying groups comepte for the four remaining
places at next year's tournament and the outcomes of all the games proved reasonably
predictable.
While Serie A takes its third break two months into a delayed season, teams in Serie B are double
yoked, with a full set of fixtures on matchday 15 and the league's bright young stars fleeing to
Istanbul for a hit on the international hookah pipe. Fifty-two sides are battling it out for a mere
seven spots in the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in Israel.
Liverpool Football Club has today announced a new two-year partnership with Turkish Tourism.
The partnership is the first of its kind for Turkish Tourism in the UK and will include advertising
rights and other benefits.
Ian Ayre, Liverpool FC Managing Director, said: "Turkey is a great country and we all have
fantastic memories of our European Cup win in Istanbul in 2005.
Dalglish & Co Coming to Silver Screen in ‘Will'

The world premiere of a film focused on Liverpool FC's historic 2005 European Cup win was showcased
in the city.
The cast, including Anfield manager Kenny Dalglish, appeared at the red carpet screening of Will at
Liverpool One's Odeon cinema.

allowed in to watch Fenerbahce against Manisaspor after repeated crowd trouble from the home side.
More than 41,000 turned up to the Istanbul stadium, and according to reports it was sweetness,
light and sportsmanship all round: "It was such a fun and pleasant atmosphere," said Manisaspor's

Thought this was a brilliant thing. After they were put under threat of playing games behind closed
doors Turkish side Fenerbahce came up with the superb idea of maintaining support for the team by
banning men and only allowing women and children into the match.
41,000 women and children turned up for the match against Manisaspor in Istanbul so I think it can
be judged a success.

Turkish champions Fenerbahçe have been thrown out of the 2011-12 UEFA Champions League
following their involvement in match-fixing allegations.
Developments over the last 24 hours have been contentious to say the least with the Turkish
Football Federation (TFF) forced by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to withdraw
Fenerbahçe's place in the competition or face further action in the event that they fail to
decline their place.
