Persija went into this game minus Bambang Pamungkas and Mustafic Faruddin. They came out of it with
first choice keeper Yasri injured and questions about a defence that went missing.
Mustafic wasn't that much of a miss anyway. They just bypassed midfield. I saw Carresco walk on the
field. I saw him substituted on 51' but I never saw him in between.

Persija are probably having breakfast at their hotel in Balikpapan as I type this. They have been
better off staying at home and saving some money.
Just take a look at Persiba's recent home record (source - Bola Tabloid)
v Persik 1-0
v Persijap 1-0
v Persita 3-0
v Pelita Jaya 2-0
v PSIS 5-0
v Persib 2-0
v Sriwijaya 4-0
v PSPS 3-0
Rather pisses on my theory that Daniel Roekito's team don't do defence, dunnit?

Songsak Chaisamak, young (DOB 10/07/1983) defender (stopper) of Thailand is arriving at Kolkata for
trial tonight.
He was part of the Thai Port FC team which won the Thai FA Cup recently organized by Football
Association of Thailand, to become the Champion Team of Thailand. He was also part of the Fifa U-17
World Cup (final rounds) held at Napier in 1999.

Bontang v Persiba 0-0
Persiba missed the chance to go to the top of the ISL after they could only draw against Bontang
who have already played seven games this season and have yet to win.
Daniel Roekito's men have played three away games this season so far and have picked up two points
on their travels.

Following his goal scoring debut for new side Persisam, Thai international Pipat Tonkanya will be
back in action this afternoon as his side take on Persela Lamongan at the Surajaya Stadium in East
Java.
Persela are a strong team at home and are currently unbeaten in the ISL but after Pipat and company
deflated Persijap's goal free defence at the weekend, the Borneo Eagles will go into the game full
of optimism.

Persijap v Bontang 1-0 (Edvaldo da Silva)
It was a nervy last few minutes for Persijap keeper Danang as he looked to keep his unbeaten run
going for a fourth game. He punched clear a drive from Bahtiar and was rather fortunate for the ref
to blow for an infringement instead of allowing Aldo Baretto's tap in to stand and deep in injury
time he flung himself to his left to keep out Ali Khaddafi's header.

It is being reported on this website that Thai Port striker Wisut Bunpeng has joined Viva Kerala
and will make his debut for the struggling I League side against Sporting Goa this weekend.
If true Wisut will be the second Thai Port striker to leave the club days after winning the Thai FA
Cup after Phipat moved to Persisam in the ISL.

There are, to paraphrase some numpty, few certainties in life. Death of course is one. Stupid
people with loud shirts on airplanes another and not forgetting boring soap operas.
But here in Indonesia we have another, uniquelly Indonesia certainty. Changes to the fixture
list.
I've not detailed the ones that have happened so far, Persija and Persitara have had games
rearranged, but now I will.

I was surprised to see the attendance at yesterday's ISL game between Persebaya and Bontang given
as less than 4,000. This for a newly promoted side rich in tradition who took 6,000 to their play
off against PSMS at Soreang earlier in the year.
It seems the club's supporters, known as Bonek, are peeved at the hike in ticket prices.

With the creation of South Tangerang as a new political entity earlier this year, now comes news
that the area will have its very own football team.
Persitangsel is the name. No stadium yet, probably no team yet or coaches or players.
There are of course two other sides in the Tangerang (a suburb of Jakarta in the manner of Watford
or Penrith).

Sriwijaya are saying that SAF striker Aleksander Duric will arrive in Palembang on Thursday to
complete his season long move to the ISL. He will team up with his national team mate Precious
Emuejeraye with the team that has won back to back Copa Indonesias.
That brings to six the number of Singaporeans attracted to the upcoming ISL.

If I recall correctly the average attendance in the Indonesian League back in 2007 was about
11,000. For the season just completed it was always going to be a lot less given that clubs like
PSMS, Persitara, Persija and Persija couldn't use their own stadiums for what ever reason.
In addition clubs like Arema, Deltras and PSIS had less than impressive campaigns.

Things have gone pretty quiet on the Persisam front but now comes news they are negotiating with
Thai Port for international striker Pipat Thonkanya.
According to this article Persisam and Thai Port have agreed a price for the 30 year old and are
now negotiating a release date.
I'm always wary whenever Persisam say they are interested in Thais.

On the heels of striker Noh Alam Shah moving from Tampines Rovers to Arema Malang, Woodlands
Wellington defender Precious Emuejeraye signed with Sriwijaya FC on Wednesday.

Keep an eye out for this young man at the upcoming SEA Games in Laos if he makes the Indonesian
squad.
Before last season there would have been little chance for any young player to get a sniff at
Persik Kediri as they were choc a bloc with quality. Especially up front where they could boast
players like Christian Gonzales, Saktiawan Sinaga and Budi Sudarsono.
