There are certain days on the football calendar when even the most level-headed, tolerant fan
allows the throes of passion, anxiety or excitement to send any sense of reason and long term
judgement spiralling out of the window to be replaced by an almost Neanderthal desperation, with
either joy or fury displayed beyond any normal boundaries [.
Southampton have started the season in blistering form, certainly continuing their winning streak
from last season. Nigel Adkins has done a terrific job with the saints installing real belief in to
his players - the task which many fans believe McClaren has to do with the current Forest side

I was on holiday when Billy Davies was sacked and although I, like the LTLF editor, was shocked and
disgusted that the club could treat an employee like that, by the time I had returned to my
computer he had been replaced by Steve McClaren. My anger still hadn't completely subsided, but I

With Forest fans feeling more threatened by the flock of disobedient partridges that swooned in
from the nearby countryside, than by Wycombe staging a potential comeback, it was an unadulterated
pleasure to be at Adams Park. There was not the usual frustration or finger biting angst that comes
with being a Forest supporter.
It was a day of great frustration, outrageous hissy fits and elated relief, as the City Ground
played host to the East Midlands derby – Forest against Leicester [...]
