Bayern Munich forward Miroslav Klose is being told to stay home.
His kids have swine flu, so the team is putting the 31 year old on quarantine.
Is that virus still around? Glad I missed it (knocks on wood).

Tiffeny Milbrett will be giving a field demonstration at the NSCAA Convention in January in
Philly. On Tuesday, November 9, 2009, I met up with the FC Gold Pride forward in San Carlos,
California, to help her plan for the event.
We talked about how the Convention is set up, and what to expect when delivering a session in
front of a room full of information-hungry coaches.

This video is almost 12 minutes long, but well worth it! I am not good at picking favorites so
with this many choices it gets even more difficult!
You can make your official vote for MLS Goal of the Year on MLSnet.com. Who gets your
vote?
Since AT&T sponsors this I wonder if they are giving the winner a free iphone?

Peep the new video for the upcoming KickSwerve iPhone app. I mentioned it a while back but they
took down the original clip before they dropped this one. Looks like they've got Nike on board to
flesh out the experience with the game-ball and signage. Can't wait; I could use a little more
distraction in my life.

I received an enthusiastic e-mail last week from EPL Talk reader Jake Islas who asked me for
advice about how he could create a blog and a vibrant community similar to mine here at EPL Talk. I
was tempted to warn him not to venture into the field. The pay is lousy. It requires an incredible
amount of hard work.

There is not a bloodsucker in sight but it is the weekend and this is getting heavy iPhone rotation
at the moment. I feel like it's a bit early to be two singles-deep into Contra since it doesn't
drop until January but I'm not going to sweat it as Adam, Gabe and the other guys at their label,
Beggars, always have a plan.

This past Saturday I had the honor of kicking off the Tchefuncte Middle School Walk-a-thon!Â
Above is a picture of my mascot Al da Gator and I with TMS's mascot, Allie! Before the
Walk-a-Thon I gave a 3 minute speech talking about living the "Believe in it" lifestyle and how if
you combine that with hard work anything you can dream in life is possible.

This week Pepsi introduced an iPhone application called "Amp Up Before You Score" to promote its
competitor to the slew of energy drinks. Its purpose? To give you alleged insider information to
boost you powers of seduction, as well as give you a platform to brag about which women you managed
to get naked.

On the Thursday and Friday following an international break, the club generally goes into damage
assessment mode. The question is never, "Is anyone hurt?" But, rather, "Who is hurt, and for how
long?" Last month, I posted my recurring international break nightmare. It is also the time to
forgot all the "Cesc-to-anywhere-but-Arsenal" stories, which for some reason continue to get
Gooners all worked up.

Hello hello hello. Did you miss me? I promise that I had every intention of blogging at least once
while in Amsterdam, an intention which can be confirmed by knowing that the first thing I asked the
hotel reception was 'how much is your broadband?' It was her answer that prevented any further
progress with the matter.

There are sometimes I'm glad to be sitting on my butt in LA.
Here's the Twitter feed from SI's Grant Wahl Friday night in Honduras:
"F------ hell. Got robbed at gunpoint in Tegucigalpa in broad daylight. I'm OK, but
they took wallet/iPhone. Amateur hour from GW!
"Talk about crazy extremes.

Why twiddle your thumbs waiting for FIFA10 to hit XBOX 360 and PS3? If you've got an iPhone you can
put those very thumbs to good use and start playing the mobile version of FIFA10 right now. I just
downloaded it today so I haven't dug too deep into it but it's definitely worth the money: you can
only play Flight Control for so long.

Something suddenly dawned on me last night. With hundreds of thousands of football supporters
visiting this site on a monthly basis, many of us support different clubs and despise our
archenemies. But while there are lots of differences between us, there are a few things in common.
We all love football that goes without saying.

One thing I like to do before I go on any trip is make sure my place is decently clean for my
return. Well in the case of this past week for my wedding/honeymoon I was all prepared on that
level except for when it came to getting back in the swing of things for soccer stuff. I came back
into town this past weekend and saw a slew of random scores in Major League Soccer.

See, here's the thing with being dirty. If you are going to try to get away with something you
shouldn't --armed robbery, sexual congress with Paris Hilton, booting a Colombian in the chest,
whatever your nefarious act of choice is-- you have to keep in mind that in the digital age there
are cameras everywhere and that someone is going to see you do it.

MLS Rumors 31 August @ 05:36 PM EST
Seattle Sounders FC Supporters are loud!
There has been a lot of talk about Seattle Sounders FC fans. From those who alleged that they piped
in crowd noise (a oft repeated and thoroughly debunked rumor) to those who alleged that the TV
microphones just amp them up for the viewing public at home as some Toronto FC supporters
postulated prior to Saturday's match between Toronto FC and Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field.

Here in the U.S., followers of the mighty MLS have a marvelous option that negates the need to
go fishing for illegal internet streams to watch games the league offers an affordable (only $20
for the season), high-quality (up to 800k) stream on their website.
Now, if we scoff and say MLS is small-time, consider that Major League Baseball has an even
better internet broadcasting set-up which has proven to be enormously profitable for the league,
with over 500,000 fans forking out $110 for the season, and even offering streaming to the
iPhone.

It was the last of the pre-season friendlies. The last chance to gauge how our side looks going
into the season proper. We gathered outside the pub in our red kits, awaiting the sound of the
deadbolt sliding out of place. All season the sound of that door unlocking will be like Pavlov's
bell to Boston's Liverpool supporters, a signal it is time to pour inside, choose the bestÂ
vantage point and wait for the friend with the iPhone to announce the starting line-up.
