A week after enduring one of his worst performances of the season, Clint Dempsey responded in a
big way.
Dempsey lifted Fulham to victory over Bolton Wanderes on Saturday, scoring a goal and assisting
on another in the 2-0 affair. Dempsey found the back of the net with a well-placed header before
sending Costa Rican teammate Bryan Ruiz in on goal with a nifty pass.

It was a topsy-turvy weekend for the Americans Abroad contingent, and no player may have
illustrated that more than Maurice Edu.
Having missed out on last week's U.S. men's national team friendly against Mexico with an
injury, Edu recovered enough to earn a start in Rangers' 2-0 win against Inverness Caledonian
Thistle.

English Premier League defenses beware: Clint Dempsey is back and ready to pick up where he last
left off.
Coming off a career season, Dempsey will begin his sixth season with Fulham on Saturday as the
Cottagers host Aston Villa on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
In the not too dim and distant past I used to work for a health charity in Midlothian.
I'll admit I wasn't straight from central casting. The only way I become a poster boy for health

Currently trailing PSV Eindhoven by one point for the top spot in the Eredivisie, Twente has its
best chance to unseat the first place team as the two square off in one of Saturday's bigger
matches.
IN a move that has surprised commentators throughout Scottish Football, the SPL have supported
terms to introduce a 10-team premier league.
The proposed new league format seemed to be out of favour after being tabled my SPL Chief
Executive Neil Doncaster back in November, attracting criticism and opponents from the off.
Giorgios Samaras scored both goals in Celtic's 2-0 win at Rangers
Despite all of the terrible weather causing many a game to be postponed in the Scottish Premier
League over the Christmas period the title race has, momentarily, had new life breathed into it due
to the re-emergence of Heart of Midlothian as a potential third force ready to take on the might of
the Old Firm.
