Forgot to make this post yesterday, but Wizards head athletic trainer, Chet North has been named
MLS Athletic Trainer of the Year. Thad over at The Back Post has a great interview up with North
that you can check out as well.
North is the only person with the Wizards organization who has been there since the first season 14
years ago.

Chet North of the Kansas City Wizards was named the MLS Head Athletic Trainer of the Year. I was
finally able to get Chet to sit still for an interview. He discusses a little bit of everything:
including what it takes to earn the award, the ownership, the MLS Cup team and players. Chet is the
only person that has been with the Wizards organization since the first year.

He will miss the Wizards game with Chivas if he makes the final roaster. I stopped Jimmy after

Jimmy just can not seem to keep his head out of danger. As you can see, he is sporting a bandage on
his much abused noggin. He collided with Harrington in practice yesterday and both needed a few
stitches. Both practiced today so it seems there was no lasting issues for either player...In the
interview I ask Jimmy about his new injury and about the last game.

I talked with Santiago Hirsig Tuesday. I asked about getting his first goal with the Wizards. He is
a little shy about speaking in English and my Spanish is not great so the interview was a little

Went to practice today to see Kei Kamara, the newest Wizard. He chose 23 as his number in Kansas

It was a tough season where there was disappointment on the pitch and problems off it. No, we're
not talking about Liverpool FC's last season but rather the first one in AFC Liverpool's history.
The club set up by Liverpool fans who wanted to rekindle the experiences of old set off with a lot
of enthusiasm but soon found the going much harder than anticipated as different opinions started
pulling it apart.

It was a bit wet today at practice. They quit early when the lightning got too close. A few shots
of players looking a little soaked. Jack, Matt and Zoltan...Aaron...And Michael...After the team
