Rumours of Jose Mourinho wanting to leave Real Madrid for the Premiership would mean only one
thing: he is heading for Manchester. Since his famous Champions League win with Porto in 2004,
Mourinho has had no desire to manage any side lacking truly world-class pedigree. For this very
reason, a return to a depleted Chelsea side is not on the cards.

Novara, at the very bottom of the Serie won yet again in a clean sweep of Inter with Andre
Caracciolo scoring a flamboyant winner. Massimo Moratti dismissed Gian Piero Gasperini after
Inter's 1-3 flame out against Novara in their first encounter.

Serie A giant Internazionale has agreed a deal for Oknoplast to become the club's fifth ‘top
sponsor'.
Carlos Tevez's potential transfer to PSG has been compromised with the two parties not seeing
eye to eye on the way forward in his footballing career rather than any financial reasons. Tevez's
demands as per his agent, Kia Joorabchian, included:
1) Limiting Carlo Ancelotti on the number of training sessions he has per day and making
conditional his participation in them.
AC Milan were the better attacking team and should have been deserving winners but the crossbar
came to Inter's rescue. Soccer is cruel. Javier Zanetti proving at the age of 38 years he has a
full tank of gas busts down the right and then diagonals all the way towards the direction of Diego
Milito.
Sorry for the lack of posts over the past couple of days. Quite a bit going on in my world at
that moment. Now, with the pleasantries out of the way, let's take a look at what's been going on
since our much-needed win at Wolves. Turns out, this has been a relatively newsworthy day for the
Chels.

Belgian wing-wizard Eden Hazard has been linked with pretty much every big club in Europe over
the last year, and now his club, Lille, have decided that the attacker is up for sale, albeit at a
rather high price.
£43million will get you the services of the fleet-footed 20-year-old, a figure which will
probably put Arsenal, who have been consistently linked with the player, out of the running.
We don't like to talk about transfer rumours. We especially don't like to talk about transfer
rumours between windows. Mostly because none of the information floating around is true, accurate,
or otherwise factual. And mostly because it's all crap that's been rehashed using stuff that was
floating around six months ago that even back then wasn't true, accurate, or otherwise factual.
Capello takes a leaf out of Mourinho's book - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
The anti-football of Mourinho and Capello can reap rewards, but more is needed for
England to be contenders for EURO 2012.
On the face of it, it was not overly surprising. The 7th best team in the world, England, beat
the best team in the world, Spain, 1-0 at home in a friendly international.
After consecutive hard fought away victories in the Champions league that have left them topping
the group, midweek European encounters have proved to be a welcome break from Internazionale's
disastrous domestic campaign. A 2-1 defeat to bitter rivals Juventus last weekend means that the
Serpenti are flirting dangerously with the relegation zone and a massive eleven points from the top
of the.
European action takes center stage next week, as next week will mark the halfway point of the
group stage of the Champions League.
While there is much to be decided between now and the last round of group stage fixtures in
early December, several teams, including a couple of Europeís elite, are already facing matches
that they can ill afford to lose or even draw if their ambitions are to stay intact.
On the day the Arsenal board came out swinging at Arsene Wenger's critics virtually promising a
lifetime guarantee of employment, Inter's president Massimo Moratti was showing the door to Gian
Paolo Gasperini after just five matches.
Today, Inter named his successor and it is Claudio Rainieri who in a twist was Jose Mourinho's
predecessor at Chelsea before getting fired.
The last gasp of the Gasperini
It took just five matches but Massimo Moratti decided he had had seen enough. Its Rolodex time
once again at the San Siro as Gian Piero Gasperini was given his marching orders after Inter lost
1-3 against newly promoted Novara.
Gasperini after the news of his sacking:
"In the end, the results are the ones that determine everything.
Inter Milan have sacked manager Gian Piero Gasperini after just three months. The Internazionale
manager got his side off to a very poor start to the 2011-12 Serie A season after losing to
Palermo, drawing Roma at home but then losing 3-1 away against Novara.
While the 0-0 result against Roma on Saturday may not have looked so bad on paper, it was a game
that Roma dictated for large portions of the match.
Serie A Weekly welcomes guest writer Anthony Lopopolo to our pages with a view to the Saturday
showcase match between Internazionale and AS Roma at the San Siro in Milan. Left reeling from an
embarrassing week of losses in both Serie A and the Champions League, Inter will try to gather
their first points of the season against Roma at San Siro.

New Anzhi Makhachkala signing Samuel Eto'o has made an instant impact for his new club by
scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 draw away at FK Rostov.
The signing of the Cameroonian international has raised many eyebrows throughout the world of
football especially given the huge wages that he is reported to be earning, something akin to 20
million euros a year.

According to several tabloids and not so tabloids, the Inter midfielder might be on his way to

The Anzhi Makhachkala revolution continues as Samuel Eto'o is set to join the Russian Premier

AC Milan celebrate their sixth Super Cup title
The weekend played host to two of the world's most intense local derbies as the teams involved
fought for the honours in their respective national Super Cup tournaments. Whereas the Italian
Super Cup saw two clubs who are virtually equal in all respects face up to each other in the shape
of league champions AC Milan and cup winners Internazionale, the same couldn't be said in its
English equivalent which saw record champions Manchester United meet up once again with local foes
Manchester City with the latter finally demanding more respect from their more illustrious
neighbours having won the FA Cup last season.
Team and handlers have traveled 8,000 kilometers to face ancient rival Internazionale in this
weekend's Italian Super Cup. AC Milan will be aiming to break the deadlock on wins. Both clubs
have previously won the annual pre-season competition five times.

Mario Balotelli's remarkable talent for finding new ways to embroil himself in controversy
resurfaced on Manchester City's pre-season trip to Los Angeles when the Italian was substituted in
disgrace only 30 minutes into a friendly against LA Galaxy.
Balotelli then became involved in a touchline row with his manager, Roberto Mancini, and angrily
threw a water bottle on to the pitch after taking his seat among the substitutes.
French World Cup winner Patrick Viera has decided to hang up his boots as a
professional footballer to take over the newly created position of football development executive
at Manchester City.
Viera 35 has left the game with great memories and fierce pitch battles most notably with former
Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane.
We've made more than our share of jokes about the long, dull, dragging days of summer without
Liverpool football to distract us from cruel reality, but when you get right down to it there are
few sports that span the calendar quite like football. And so, three long, hard days (or
thereabouts) after Barcelona beat Manchester United in the Champions League final to close out
major European competition, the first wave of players begin to trickle into pre-season training
camps in England to kick off July.

"El Loco" Bielsa might be taking over at Inter
Fast moving stuff with Massimo Morratti doing a series of flip flops first denying contact with
Marcelo Bielsa, Chile's national coach and then acknowledging having phoned him after being
exposed. Then walking that back by saying someone else had established contact.
Unsurprisingly, Manchester City and their limitless bank account have moved into pole position to

Following their fourth UEFA Champions League triumph on Saturday virtually every superlative has
been used to describe Pep Guardiola's current crop of FC Barcelona stars. The Catalans' 3-1 triumph
over Manchester United meant that Guardiola, in only his third full season in charge at the Camp
Nou, has won ten major trophies including the amazing Sextuple triumph from the 2008-09 season.
New Juventus signing Andrea Pirlo believes that he can provide a major contribution to help
Juventus return to being a top team in Italian football. Pirlo, who signed from Serie A rivals AC
Milan on a three year contract, arrives at the Stadio Delle Alpi on a free transfer. The 72 capped
Italian midfielder hopes to bring glory back to the city of Turin, with Juventus not winning a
Scudetto since the 2002-03 season.
Lionel Messi's incomparable dribbling skills this season could be the decisive factor in a tight
clash with Manchester United.
Messi has completed 6.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in Champions League games this season, nearly
two more than any other player in the competition. It highlights both Barcelona's reliance on Messi
to produce the magic in every game he plays as well as his relentless consistency.
