ManUtd24 22 November @ 06:52 AM EST

We’re Some American Fans

Albion Road 21 September @ 12:27 PM EST

Growing up playing soccer in the United States is both a blessing and a curse. Most of us became fans of the most popular sport in the entire world, yet in the United States the sport has a third tier status that receives only a fraction of coverage and attention of the major sports in the US. I am old enough to remember the rise and fall of the North American Soccer League.

Will All These Transfer Rumors Please Give Us Something Real?

EPL Talk 01 July @ 08:57 AM EST

Every year, once the season ends, the rumors really start buzzing around our heads like a dark swarm of thirsty mosquitoes. And where we should wisely swat the nasty beasts away, the depth of our summer football boredom makes us strip off our shirts, hold out our arms, and beg them to land.

American Soccer News 09 June @ 03:41 PM EST

If this one sounds like a no-brainer, that's probably because it is. It is high time for Major League Soccer to follow the lead of virtually every other professional league in the world and stop play for dates on the international soccer calendar.

International matchdays, for the uninitiated, are dates designated by FIFA and its regional confederations for national team play usually for World Cup qualifiers and other tournaments, but often for friendly games as well.

Guti Shows how to 300,000 euros in an hour !

Footballers Life 02 December @ 08:41 AM EST
Real Madrid's star, Guti showed how to do it with a recent shopping spree in which he got through 300,000 euros IN AN HOUR. (For 300,000 euros Mr Malouda could have flown privately between Nantes and London about 40 times.)
Mr Gutierrez's spending frenzy took place in Monaco a few weeks ago, when he bought a sofa, a large table and a sculpture for the summer mansion he is having built in Ibiza, a mansion which, it almost goes without saying, includes a "discotheque" for him to dance in. Click to continue reading...
