Ricardo Quaresma Unplugged Intro

2
Nerazzurri Fans may well ask who is this Portuguese wonder boy? What will he add to our club?  What is his style? and will he fill the boots of Luis Figo to become the next midfield magician for Inter?  Comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo is little surprise as Quaresma is yet one more from that current crop of outstanding Portuguese playmakers. 5 Deadline Day Transfers That Caught The Eye

3
You may recall a recent post on Just-Football discussing 5 summer transfers that we considered made good business. Well with the frantic spending that took place on deadline day from clubs around Europe it would almost be rude not to peruse over the goings-on and assess deals that caught the eye, for one reason or other. So, the transfer deadline (August 31) has passed and the football market is now closed. Closed? Not quite. Ricardo Quaresma to Inter - analysis

2
Well Jose Mourinho finally got his man with the signing of Ricardo Quaresma from Porto. This is a great move for Inter Milan as they needed some younger players to add to their aging squad, and it also give Mourinho a chance to put his own stamp on the squad. I was beginning to wonder when Inter were going to make a really big move. Click to continue reading...

Ricardo Quaresma: On Inter Milan, On the Trivela, On Becoming a Better Player

1
€24.6m (plus bonuses) and the transfer of Vítor Hugo Gomes Paços (Pelé) to Porto: that's how much bringing Ricardo Quaresma to Inter cost Massimo Moratti. In other words: the most expensive Serie A transfer of the year (so far), but based purely on skills the lad seems to be worth every penny. "I am glad [. Click to continue reading...

Another City record

2
Crikey, as we say in England. The reasons why Robinho was willing to relocate to Manchester suddenly become clear:
The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year contract that makes him the highest-paid footballer in the history of the game, with a weekly salary of £160,000.

For those of you not used to the quaint habit that British newspapers have of expressing multi-million pound salaries in a working-class "weekly wage" fashion, let's put it this way: that amounts to about $15 million a year. Click to continue reading...

Sampdoria 1-1 Inter: Scudetto Champions Kick Off With A Draw (Serie A Matchday 1)

0
"If the game ends in a draw, it won't be dramatic". Those were the words of the 'Special One' before Sampdoria-Inter. And a draw it was, thus somewhat spoiling the debut of José's Serie A adventure. The culprit in this occasion? Gennaro Delvecchio, author of the Sampdoria equalizer at the 68 minute mark, who rendered [. Click to continue reading...

WCR Top 25 Clubs in the World - Nobody Wants to be Number One Edition

1
While it's clear that Manchester United has not played like the best club in the world recently, it's equally clear that none of the other top clubs in the world seem to want to take the top spot over. As a case in point, let's look at last week's top six. While United fell to Zenit St. Petersburg in the UEFA Super Cup, four of the five clubs directly behind it in the rankings (Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Roma) all managed no more than a draw or, in Real's case, a loss. Transfer deadline watch

I generally hate the transfer window because it's an excuse for all bad papers to print simply made up rumours rather than attempt any actual journalism.  However the last day is always good fun.  I think that's mainly because I am a Spurs fan and we have a penchant for concluding deals at 23.58 in [. Did Zlatan Ibrahimovic Get Away With Handball?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic either a) scored an excellent goal for Internazionale after a one two with Amantino Mancini or b) scored a questionable goal for Internazionale after getting away with handball. 2008-2009 UEFA Champions League Group Stage Decided

Several pundits have offered opinions on which group will be the toughest and which Serie A club(s) have the most difficult task of proceeding further so I might as well throw my hat in the ring with the rest. Roma and Juventus are going to face the toughest battle in groups A and H respectively. Click to continue reading...
