With the signing of Lionard Pajoy, the Union may just be nearing the end of their offseason
transactions (at least for outfield players). In a set of three installments, PSP's Eli
Pearlman-Storch outlines the most likely formations for the Union in 2012 and how the roster, as
currently composed, is suited to play in each.
It has been almost a year since SBI's last installment of You Write the Caption, and that one
came after a two-year hiatus for one of the site's original and most popular series. We plan on
changing that after feedback from readers who told us we should bring the series back.
For those of you unfamiliar, You Write the Caption is when we post a funny photo and allow our
readers to take their cracks at writing a caption to go with the photo.
1. There's not too many Manchester United fans moaning this morning that Darron Gibson is a
one-trick pony who only hits piledrivers from the edge of the box. 2. Manchester City goalkeeper
Joe Hart didn't realise that having a man on the post was an occupational hazard rather than a
tactical decision at Goodison Park.
There are many things that differentiate football in the United States – economics, cultural and
sports market, to name just a few. However, one of the more unique factors in the significant role
of college sports in the development of professional athletes. It is no different with football, as
universities play a prominent role in preparing soccer players for a possible professional career.

Whether you're a fan of the FIFA series or if you prefer the Pro Evolution Soccer games, Tuesday
marks the end of a long wait.
For the first time ever, both FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer video games are set to drop the
latest installments of their respective video games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox360 on the same
day.
EXCLUSIVE: FIFA 12 review: The even more beautiful game
FIFA 12 (3+)PlayStation 3, Xbox 360RRP: £54.99Out: September 30Rating: 5/5 Perhaps
recognising that recent FIFA installments often felt more like expansion packs than full games, EA
Sports promised revolution not evolution with this season's update.
Perhaps I should call this post guesses about the tactics and starting eleven against Swansea!
After the recent overhaul of the squad it is hard to figure out exactly who is going to play or the
tactical approach that will be used.
By and large, I don't expect a big change in the style of play.
The Udinese winger now doing duty for Chile at the Copa America has signed for £40m to be paid
in installments with a down payment of £25m.
His transfer fee has been seized by Arsenal who are now demanding a minimum of £35m for the
services of their captain. This puts another wrench in the proceedings.
C'mon show some spunk, Arsenal mates!
The Arsenal midfielder shows why he might be the doyen of his generation. At a press conference
when asked whether Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas would stay on he went completely unscripted.
"Loyalty is a big part of football and it shows if you are a real man or not.

Leeds United have today banned a 63-year old great-grandmother from attending matches at Elland
Road for twelve months after she took to the pitch following the club's final game of the season
against Burnley in May.
Video? This way.
At the time, Margaret Musgrove (grandmother of 13 sprogs, great-grandmother of three) was handed
an automatic ban and had her season ticket seized after stewards hauled 5'4″ pensioner off the
pitch and into the stadium's holding cells later releasing her without charge.
Morning all, a quick Saturday round-up for you.
Let's start with the transfer latest involving as many players as I can find info on.
Cesc Darren Dein has phoned Barcelona to tell them that Arsenal are willing to
sell. Barcelona want to offer €30m, Arsenal want more.
Sid Lowe: Europe and Spain's biggest rivals prepare for four installments of El Clásico in only 18
days, culminating in the all-important Champions League semi-final.
Rod Gilmour: Forget a lazy end of season run-in. Barcelona and Real Madrid are set for four games
in 18 days, starting with La Liga on Saturday and ending with a tasty Champions League semi-final
double header.
Credit to New York Red Bull PR for getting Sky Sports News, England's version of ESPN, over to
Red Bull Arena for a long feature on striker Thierry Henry. Yes, the Arsenal connection certainly
helps, but Henry's staying power and his iconic style of play still resonate in England. Part one
of this feature is below, with the remaining three installments available for selection at the end
of the piece.
There have been reports this morning that the deal to sign David Luiz is on the verge of collapse
and I have to wonder why. At the moment the information we have to work with is that Benfica are
negotiating a deal with the majority of the transfer fee being paid up front by Chelsea and not in
installments.
Reports from a usually reliable Croatian newspaper claim that Arsenal officials have travelled
to Zagreb to sort out the final details of the transfer of versatile young right-back Sime
Vrsaljko. I very much doubt this is correct, however there is certainly interest there and Arsenal
officials have been in Zagreb.
