Have heart Real Madrid faithful, the Phoenix shall rise from the ashes. Barcelona's roster will
age, wither, and eventually lose to us on a more regular basis. However, until then, we must cope.
Seven points give us solace, but not joy. Rumors of Mou's departure stalk our nightmares. Only one
thing can brighten these dark times: laughing at amusing and ill conceived pictures.
You can argue that everything Barca does these days is being scrutinized or subject to unfair
criticism. But it's hard to deny the club's latest tribute to a journalist who passed away and
spent his life reporting on the club. That's affectionate dedication for you!

More than any other matchup, the coming together of Barcelona and Madrid forces apart the
usually shared preferences of the cultfootball brain trust. So today's match was one where both
sides could come away feeling they'd won some important battles, if not the war.
The game was not 90 minutes of pure flowing football.

Transfer windows are always silly season but they pale in comparison to the sort of collective
psychosis and paranoia engendered by El Clasico.
The hysteria before tomorrow's Copa De Rey semi-final first leg has gems like if Mourinho plays
Pepe in the midfield then Real has a winning record in the Clasicos.

be considering this match as a turning point.

Don't sweat yet another defeat in the biggest game on Earth, Mr. Mourinho. We've got ten ideas for
how to win the return leg that will appeal to your evil genius side.1. Get Carvalho back and once
again play Pepe as a rearmost midfield destroyer, hoping his physicality can throw off the Barca
rhythm just as Real's pressing did in the opening minutes.
Till the start of Yesterday El Clasico I was naming Mourinho as the best coach in our planet today.
However, after yesterday defeat, I am doubting that statement, and at least might give that title
to Guardiola.
Coaches today play chess, and it was apparent that after the first 30 minutes, Guardiola touches on
the game, and how he reacted to very difficult start was impressive.

With both teams already qualified, tomorrow night's clash at San Siro between AC Milan and FC
Barcelona is all about claiming the top spot in Group H. With 10 points Barca is at the top of the

the problem for Barca is the thei last Group match will take place days ahead of the first
Clasico.

allowing Randall Brenes to lift the ball into the empty net.
Right, so let me get this straight. England are going to win the Euros now after all?
Oh well that's a relief. It was touch and go there for a moment but thanks to those courageous
kids, some hardened old sea dogs and a bit of can-do attitude it looks like we're going to bloody
well do it.

England 1:0 Spain
Wembley Stadium, London
Wembley was full, sold on the dream of the king's touch, as the world's No.1
soccer nation Spain dropped by for an evening.
A strange pre-match atmosphere, as the usual patriotic fantasy rang increasingly hollow: No-one
expected England to win and most were hoping for a defeat short of embarrassing.
