THE FULHAM-QPR MERGER: 25 YEARS AGO
28 February 1987 - Fans protest at both Fulham and Queens Park Rangers in an attempt to stop the
proposed merger between the two clubs.
Kenny Dalglish believes Liverpool deserve to be in a better position in the Premier League but

The Reds boss has for the first time since his return in January 2011 started to find himself the
subject of criticism after six draws at Anfield so far this season.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been handed a one-match suspension, fined £20,000 and warned as
to his future conduct after admitting to an improper conduct charge for his behaviour at
Fulham.
The club has also been fined £20,000 for failing to control their players in the same match.
Uruguay international Suarez was pictured apparently making a one-figured gesture towards Fulham's
fans following Liverpool's1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on 5th December.
There's no appeal or waiting period this time around, as Luis Suarez has pled guilty to improper
conduct after showing Fulham fans the finger at the end of a frustrating match at Craven Cottage on
the fifth of December. As a result, the striker will serve an immediate one match ban and has also
been levied with a £20,000 fine.
