I'll start this off by saying that I'm not usually one to perpetuate rumors (and this could
easily be a hoax), but we love discussing the USA's jerseys here at Project 2010, so this seemed
relevant. Over at Big Soccer, we saw some mock ups of what might possibly be the jersey the USA
will wear in South Africa, so we thought we'd pass it along.

Just when you thought the Italian tactician and master of success couldn't get any more focused;
England manager Fabio Capello has banned a fans' and players' favorite: the World Cup
song.
Not content with prohibiting WAGs from attending the England base next summer, Capello
is again trying to take the Englishness out of English football by restricting the players'
voices.

Belleza! Napoli's Marek Hamsik and The Pied Piper of

The day after goofing around in the snow and getting their free Audis, Real Madrid were
thoroughly thumped 4-0 in the first leg of their fourth round Copa del Rey tie with third division
side Alcorcon. The loss has been a staggering and embarrassing blow, which has not only put their
Copa campaign in serious doubt, but has manager Manuel Pellegrini on the verge of getting
sacked.

After the flash bulbs took a breather, the team was given instructions on how to drive in the
snow. Incredible. Who knew that it snowed in Madrid?

Since it's been awhile since these two were last photographed/spotted out together, we're not
entirely sure the reason behind the long faces.

As most of us already know, the city of Madrid's "Olympic Bidding 101: Hot Men/Sex Sells" ploy
didn't go as planned.
Still, their scheme wins high marks from us because we've uncovered these visually pleasing

proven to naturally raise body temperatures and stimulate happy hormone production by 10%.

Promoted Championship teams entering the Premier League transition in different ways. Some
settle straight away and show why they belong in the league. Others take longer and end up
struggling to survive, battling in the relegation flight. Then there are the special cases: teams
that surprise everyone and do extremely well with relegation not even a factor to consider during
their first season; or conversely they are completely out of their league and winning is not a
realistic goal.

Who's in charge of images at ESPN Soccernet? First they got confused about Oguchi Onyewu, and now
they can't identify Real Madrid legend Raúl either? The image above (from Raúl's stats page here)
appears to be Real's other Raúl, Albiol rather than González Blanco. Thanks to John for pointing
that out to us via tips[at]theoffside[dot]com.

Not since Sean Dundee (joke) have us Liverpool fans been quite so enthusiastic to see a player
get on the field of play wearing the beloved Reds jersey than with the belated anticipation of
Alberto Aquilani finally being fit enough to kick a ball. Note the nifty trick he appears to have
pulled off in the first image and the way he appears to be hypnotizing Martin Skrtel in the
second.

However, Because Inara and John have set such excellent standards here, I'm setting the bar very

We're taking a look at the USA men's soccer jerseys of the last 25 or so years, not only to
provide a bit of history, but also as a bit of a refresher before looking toward the future of the
USA's kit. My main complaint about the USA kit is that there's no continuity. Unlike most national
team kits, the design has changed drastically each time adidas or Nike has unveiled their latest
designs.
