Howard was kind enough to get his nekkid on for ESPN, and our server collapsed under the weight of
our rampant lust.

The Atletico Madrid men were out in full press call-posing force last week, making nice with
their club's newest sponsor, Volkswagen.
After the flash bulbs took a breather, the squad was given instructions on how to activate the
automatic hair gel dispensers that were custom fit to each player's new (free) Beatle.

Proud husband Rafael tweeted some pics of the Sylvie Barbie that was unveiled at a toy fair in

After seeing the latest pics of Xabi Alonso and wifey Nagore shopping at D&G in Madrid, we got
to thinking: have we ever seen Ane Alonso?
Okay, we have. Once. But have we ever seen Ane Alonso as a toddler?
We thought not, which is why we're donating a hi-res version of her to your desktop files and
Tumblr accounts now, Kickettes.

We've been slow to post on the pics doing the rounds of Irina Shayk's Autumn/Winter 2012
campaign for Replay Jeans. Reason being we're conflicted.
Yes, Irina's topless. We can obviously see that. But she's also wearing fingerless
gloves in various colours and textures.
Sport.es reporting that these will be next season kits (Photo:Sport.es)
Sport.es is reporting that they have received "exclusive" images of the new kits for the

We will have to wait and see if this is true.

Mario Gomez with girlfriend, Silvia Meichel. Images: Sky Germany.
Last Friday, the Bayern Munich 'ballers of past and present turned up to celebrate club legend
Uli Hoeness' 60th birthday at an open bar party. Present were Mario Gomez and his girlfriend,
Silvia Meichel. Isn't she just a breath of fresh-faced, normal air, Kickettes?
At the end of the 2011 MLS season, the conventional wisdom was that the images of David Beckham
raising the Anschutz trophy would be his last in a LA Galaxy uniform. Paris St-Germain, bankrolled
with the billions of their Qatari benefactors, were pushing hard for Beckham to join their team and
were willing to pay any price to have him.

He scores lots of goals and lets Jose Mourinho ride him like a pony, but that's pretty much all
we ever knew about Real Madrid's 24-year-old headline stealer.
Recently opening up in an interview, Callejón revealed that his bestie in the locker room is
none other than The Ramos™.
This afternoon is a must win game for Chelsea and it really is as simple as that. We cannot afford
to drop points over the next few weeks as we need to try and close the gap to the sides above us
now in the league.
AVB and his Chelsea players have a job on their hands this afternoon as a rejuvenated Sunderland
side under new man-manager Martin O'Neill travel to the Bridge with nothing to lose and everything
to gain.
Mirror: Why magical FA Cup 3rd Round weekend is still the perfect antidote to New Year

I don't know about you, but each January I find myself poleaxed by the New Year Blues. This
black dog, though, doesn't arrive as soon as the Bank Holiday has ended and work once again grinds
into motion.
John Terry may sue Indian government, should probably focus on more important things...
As if sleeping around and shouting racist slurs weren't bad enough for John Terry's
reputation, it appears the Indian government has been using a blurred image of Terry for
anti-smoking warnings on cigarettes.

... Olalla Dominguez giving Justin Bieber some serious side-eye?
Yes, Kickettes, it flippin' well is. As most of you are probably aware, the Bieb-u-lator was at
Stamford Bridge the other day for a kickabout with Frank Lampard and Olalla's hubby Fernando

Steven Gerrard took an active part in Liverpool training on Tuesday, but Kenny Dalglish is refusing
to put a date on the player's return to action.
Liverpool has been shorn of the services of their captain since he picked up an ankle infection in
October. The Reds have made repeated denials that the midfielder had suffered a setback and he was
pictured working hard in training on Tuesday.

Remember last week, when Cesc Fabregas finally buckled under growing international pressure

Sorry for the bad headline, I couldn't resist.
MLS and adidas released images on the new 2012 match ball. Gone is everyone's favorite Jubalani,

Looks cool I suppose.

The U.S. men's national team is set to unveil a new jersey during the early parts of next year,

According to multiple jersey-related websites, the next U.S. jersey will have red and white
horizontal stripes with a ghost sash going downwards from right to left (just as the current ones
have).
Pictures: Samir Nasri's multi-coloured boxers and the best of footballers in their

There was some colourful language from Manchester City fans last night after defeat in Napoli
left their Champions League campaign in tatters... but nothing as colourful as the boxer shorts
Samir Nasri accidentally revealed while getting stripped to come on as a sub.

Down the hatch
Two goals from the excellent Edinson Cavani were enough for Napoli to see off Man City in the
Stadio San Paolo, thus leaving the Premier League leaders teetering on the brink of first-round
elimination.
It now looks for all the world like City will be dropping out and playing Thursday night
football in the Europa League as of next year, that is unless they manage a win over Bayern Munich
and Villarreal take a point or three off Napoli in the last round of group games.

David Beckham, to Robbie Keane, to Landon Donovan. Goal. Trophy. It sounds like something from a
ridiculously tawdry soccer movie, but Donovan's goal was enough to snare the MLS Cup in front of a
record crowd at the Home Depot Centre in Los Angeles landing Becks, who had to overcome injury and
illness to play, with his first Stateside silverware in what is looking increasingly likely to be
his last competitive match for the Galaxy (his contract expires next month, after a tour of
Indonesia and the Philippines).

Real? Fake?

the last set of jerseys, and they turned out to be the real deal.

Thanks to their stonking 4-0 first-leg victory in Talinn, the Republic of Ireland breezed
their way unencumbered past Estonia with a 1-1 draw in the return-leg in Dublin last night enough

We'll have some proper reaction up once we've cobbled it together later this morning but, rather
than the obligatory draw, a largely second-string England actually beat Sweden for the first time
since the year of our Lord 1968 (13 games if you're counting) at Wembley last night a 22nd-minute
own-goal from centre-half Daniel Majstorovic (with a cunning assist from Gareth Barry) eventually
proving to be the difference between the two sides.
