The 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup's first round will come to a close this weekend. The first round is
comprised of 28 clubs who played first leg matches on 21 June and 22 June 2008 and will now
complete the second leg.
Three matches of note from this weekend's second leg:

IFK Göteborg closed the gap on first place Kalmar FF earlier today. Kalmar's advantage is now
reduced to only three points.
IFK Göteborg's Jonas Wallerstedt scored twice in a three minute span (52' &
55'). 21 year-old Gustav Svensson capped of the scoring with the game winner five
minutes later in the 60th minute.
In today's lone Allsvenskan match, Trelleborgs FF dispatched of third-place side IFK Göteborg.
The victory moves Trelleborgs up to 11th place in the Swedish league. In the first half of play,
new signing Paulino Lopes Tavares scored. Forward Fredrik Jensen
put the game away late in the second half.
Falkenbergs FF came up with an important victory today in the Superettan - Sweden's second
division. 21-year old midfielder Kristoffer Fagercrantz scored late in the first
half for Falkenbergs. The former Halmstads BK player is enjoying a solid amount of playing time
with his new club.
