The Tevez-Pato "will he? won't he" questions ricocheted every which way this January as the
musical chairs transfers song played at AC Milan, but at the end everyone retook their own chairs.
Boring. Perhaps they were dating Berlusconi's daughter, or were on £200,000 a week slave wages
that no one else could match, but whatever the reason, that anti-climax will be followed up by a
busy February and early March.
With Arsenal currently sitting 7th in the Premier League Table, it's now truly inevitable that
Robin van Persie will choose a new club come summertime, barring some miracle. Because it seems so
predestined, the notion doesn't trigger anxiety levels of Fabregas proportions in summers past,
where you just really didn't know what was going to happen.
There were two things we learnt about Zlatan Ibrahimovic this week. One was
that in his youth, he was "easily in the top five of the most unruly pupils" his
school's headmistress had ever seen. The second was that he used to lock himself up in his
apartment after a bad game when 50,000 fans whistled at him.
There are many critics who love bickering about the downward spiral of Italian
football but at least they have the equivalent of a glamorous Oscar
night! Finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his entire phone-book of haters last
night and won the title of Serie A's 'Best Player in 2011′ while Edison Cavani's
Udinese were announced 'Best Club'.
AC Milan recently held a Christmas party (of course, 'Natale'
is incredibly important for the land of the Pope!) where players, coaches, staff and sponsors were
invited to mingle, eat cheese and look bloody fabulous. Everyone needs to take a leaf out of these
smoldering Italians' books.
In queste ore,

"Tipoooo! Want a signed copy of my autobiography?" is probably what
Ibrahimovic asked good ol' Messi in this photo, after Milan's 2-3
loss to Barcelona last night. Neither side really have anything to worry about they're both through
to the second round!

character, but could his new Swedish autobiography finally reveal some 'secrets'? / via AP

The Milan tifosi and players rallied together last night to show their support for
Antonio Cassano, the AC Milan striker who will undergo an interventional cardiac
surgery (of his heart) to close the 'foramen ovale'. Doctors only ruled this when they discovered
he was suffering from ischemic brain damage and he has been ruled out of football
for up to six months.

You've gotta love the look on that girl's face : "Messi?? Quiero que mi sopa de
letras!" ("I only want my Alphabet soup!") Ah, remember when you were 11 years old
and spent hours daydreaming about being a child football mascot for the Champions League
and/or walking out, holding a player's greasy hands?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's reckless comments a day or so ago have sparked wild rumours that he may leave
Milan sooner rather than later. The Swede effectively said that he is ‘over' playing football and
does not have the desire to keep playing for much longer as it no longer inspires him. Why another
club would be [.
titolo e coppa nazionale.
Champions League Preview: Real and Barca the teams to beat - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
It seems that in almost every aspect of the game, two clubs dominate the footballing world. They
are Spanish super heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona. Any team boasting multiple stars is said
to echo Real's Galactico era, while teams from League Two to the K-League are said to be a
mini-Barcelona.
Frustrated Forlan alongside triumphant Miccoli
The Serie A has been dominated by the two main Milanese clubs for a bit more than half a decade.
While they have had some testing competition by the likes of Roma and Juventus, the past ten years
have seen AC Milan or Inter Milan win the scudetto seven times.
From arrogant Swedes to bratty Brazilians, there are many players who will have a big spotlight on
them in the upcoming season. While some of these players are about to make the biggest move of
their career, others will need to solidify their position they hold at their current club. For
some, this season could be the last one which they're considered worth looking at.
Last year, our fashion friends sent us some previews of the AC Milan boys in a D&G-Inspired
Polaroid Book and we shared the exclusive photos with you. And ya'll know how much we love the
Fashion-Football combination! This year, to celebrate their Scudetto
victory (Italians don't need a reason to party, anyway) D&G organized an event at their store in
Milan and of course, unveiled a series of new portraits featuring the Milanistis.
(Summary is not available.)
This weekend brought us some football related foolishness in front of the cameras.
First, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whilst celebrating Milan's clinching of the 2010-2011 Serie A Scudetto,
decided it would be fun if he kicked his teammate, Antonio Cassano, while Cassano was being
interviewed:
Meanwhile over in Germany, Wladimir Klitschko held a press conference as part of the run up to his
fight with David Haye.
Perhaps Massimiliano Allegri said it best when talking about this upcoming
derby della
madonnina between AC Milan and Inter Milan.
"It's the match all of Italian soccer waits for, media and players together: it's a
match inside a match."
The AC Milan coach is right, because at the beginning of the season I always mark down the dates of
the Milan derby.

Tomorrow. 2:45 EST. One game that will play an absolutely massive role in deciding the scudetto.
Milan win and they're firmly in the driver's seat. Lose and Inter take over the top whilst Napoli
can join them, should they win against Lazio. A game to rule them all.
Here are, in no particular order and with no particular bias, three videos that illustrate the
entertainment that this derby has given us over the past few years.
The current Serie A season has seen a trio of clubs compete for the Scudetto with Milan ahead by
a small margin over Inter and Napoli respectively. The Milan-Inter showdown, set after the
international break, will determine to a large extent the direction of the title. From an
individual standpoint, there have been very few influential signings this season who can be
credited with shaping the fortunes of their respective clubs.
Milan remain on top of Serie A yet their hold has become more tenuous than ever with city rivals
Inter lurking just two points behind. The Rossoneri have some of the league's most talented
individuals such as Robinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio Cassano, but along with that talents
comes a lot of baggage and unpredictability.
giocato domenica scorsa a San Siro.
Milan's away match against Juventus was supposed to be a huge test of their minerals. Qasa Alom
evaluates what we learnt about the rossoneri in their bid for an 18th scudetti. 1. Thiago Silva
cannot afford to be pushed up into midfield against Spurs. When Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva
play together – Milan do not concede goals.

The way which Tottenham have gone about their business in the Champions League is wonderful.
Instead of watching a lifeless match at the San Siro, we got to see Tottenham win away from home in
their fearless and adventurous style.
While the final score was 1-0, Tottenham were continuously working the ball in from the flanks,
exploiting AC Milan's weak fullbacks.
I'm not going to lead with the Chelsea highlights. I'm not going to lead with the Chelsea
highlights. I'm NOT going to lead with the Chelsea... hello? Oh, there aren't any Chelsea
highlights? But what about the 70 million pounds they spent in January? Torres and David Luiz
played, you say? Well I'm sure Liverpool countered with their expensive January signings,
right?
We'll still go with Cani's stunning goal for Villareal as the top goal of the weekend, but
Ibrahimovic's strike for AC Millan vs Lecce yesterday was not bad either:
