Daniel Agger is in a rich vein of form for Liverpool at the moment, and he's been integral to
helping the club achieve the best defensive record in the league. It's hardly surprising that Agger
has developed into such a great defender; he's has had great role models at Anfield, and the Dane
credits one player in particular with having a massive impact on his career.
Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy believes that team he played in under Rafa Benitez during the
2006-7 is superior to current team put together by Kenny Dalglish's. Do you agree?
Bellamy, who memorably helped Liverpool beat Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final that

arch-rivals. Under Gerard Houllier, Henchoz formed a formidable partnership with Sami Hyypia, which
was vital to Liverpool's dominance over Man United between March 2000 and March 2003.

- We had harsh words for the owl-kicking Colombian player after we caught wind of the incident,
but they weren't nearly as bad as his court-mandated punishment. Luis Moreno must pay an
undisclosed fine, foot the bird's treatment bill and perform community service at the
local zoo.
As its FA cup weekend, a fact about the worlds oldest football competition seems
appropriate...
Manchester United's Eric Cantona was the first foreign player to captain a winning Cup
Final team (1996). Since then Sami Hyypia is the only other foreign player to repeat this
feat.
