The rumor mill continues this offseason and another new rumor regarding a potential player has surfaced. Rumors out of Sweden is that Sporting KC has Swedish defender, Anton Hysen in their sites as a potential target. Former Montreal Impact MVP David Testo announced yesterday that he is gay.

The midfielder, who also played for Columbus Crew and the Vancouver Whitecaps, was cut from the Impact's roster a month ago, and said in his statement that he regrets not coming out publicly earlier.

We won and what a way to win at that! Tobias Hysen, son of Sweden legend Glenn Hysen, beat the offside trap (by millimeters) late in stoppage time and with a light flick of the ball from Anders Svensson's genial pass gave us the victory. To be fair to the Ukraine team though they put up a masterful fight and that the referee didn't call offside on that final play must be winners luck.

Well, with a weekend like that I don't really know where to start. Perhaps I should just take the first game then, which was of the utmost importance for the gold race. It was on Thursday and played in Gothenburg between IFK Göteborg and AIK. Until the last two rounds, AIK had been steadily making their way to the top and chasing Elfsborg and leaders Helsingborg.

That's fifteen rounds down and fifteen more to go! The Allsvenskan has reached its midway point and now is getting ready to enter the home stretch. Everything that we thought we knew fifteen rounds ago has been dragged through the mud, shot in the head, and then finally erased from existence. Giants have ruled the land only to be slain in what is one of Europe's most even leagues.

For those who have not been paying attention, Hysen was the subject of a media frenzy a few months ago when he came out as gay during an interview with Offside magazine and simultaneously ingratiated himself with the laydeez by being incredibly darn cute.
