She's back! Miss Cleo enjoyed her week off last weekend and your favorite false prophet also
enjoyed tricking people into foolishly giving out their credit card numbers. But enough about
stealing.... What about this weeks picks? Lets take a look at the cards.Â
What can be said about Aston Villa.

Premiership.
The leading Aussie beer brand analysed the interviews and statements from every Premiership
manager since the beginning of the season using its Ozometer, an algorithm developed specifically
to analyse language and word sequences to determine how worried or carefree a person is.

Three points, two injuries, one hero: this was a mixed night for West Ham United that ended in pure
joy. When injuries to Carlton Cole and Hérita Ilunga were followed by a freakish equaliser for
Aston Villa, the scene seemed set for yet another promising performance to end in another
disappointing result.

For more than two years, they formed the public face of Hull City, each gravitating towards the
limelight in a manner that endeared them to some but increasingly irritated others. As chairman and
manager, Paul Duffen and Phil Brown tried to project a positive image, regardless of results.

Robin Van Persie
Van Persie was the Gunners go-to-guy in the Match of the Week as Arsenal defeated Tottenham
3-0. Van Persie would score twice in the critical match and the result continues to push the
Gunners towards the top of the league table. Van Persie has seven goals and six assists on the
year putting him in the top five in total points of all Premier League players this season.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City will have money to spend this
January depending on if they are able to sell a few players. Hull City chairman Adam
Pearson said,
"The major factor for January would be how many players we were able to move out.

After a decade in relative anonymity at the wrong end of the English football league pyramid, you
would think Hull City fans would be enjoying their spell in the limelight. But given the worrying
nature of the headlines over the past few weeks, you could forgive them for wishing for a return to
the peace and quiet of the lower leagues.

According to James Riach at Sky Sports News, Hull City chairman Adam
Pearson is looking to lower the wages of the club. Currently the club's highest paid
players are Jimmy Bullard, Geovanni, Daniel
Cousin, and George Boateng.

This week's episode focuses on the Premier League relegation battle (it's already started), and
the spotlight is on Portsmouth (who lost their first seven games, just beat Wigan 4-0 and are still
bottom of the table) and Hull (who have been lurching from weakness to weakness, but still have
faith in their unfortunately named manager).

Arsenal handed Tottenham Hotspur a critical 3-0 loss in our PLTO Match of the Week. The winÂ
keeps Arsenal in third place and they remain right in the mix despite being back four points
because they have played one less game. The Spurs, on the other hand, drop back to fifth place
with the loss.

I recently asked the question: When Will Phil Brown Go?, & it seems in all actuality I'm no
closer to an accurate answer of that question than when I posed it last week. Hull City lost
another football match this weekend at Turf Moor to current over-achievers Burnley, 2-0.
Two Graham Alexander goals were enough to see off a brave Hull City that will feel slightly cheated
by the outcome.

I haven't been paying much attention to the Premiership action these last couple weeks, but one
glance at the table shows my pick Chelsea still leading the way.
Liverpool has a gastly 6-5-0 record, so I can only imagine that Reds fans and the English press are
putting the pressure on Rafa Benitez (above).

desperately poor run of form, according to Hull City's new chairman.

Phil Brown has been talking a storm about Jozy's
"Twittergate" this week, including gems like this:
Asked if Altidore had put the twit in Twitter, an unimpressed Brown replied: "I'd have put an
'a' in it."
Now that is the kind of comment Maradona would be proud of!

Pompey mount revival. Following a miserable season start of 7 losses, conceding
13 goals and netting just 3 in the process, the South Coast club, rooted in last place, were
everyone's early season pick for relegation. But how quickly things change in football. In the last
4 matches, Portsmouth have scored 10 goals, conceded just 2 and amassed 7 crucial points
on the way to Premiership survival.

About six weeks ago I did a piece predicting West Ham to win the Premier League based on their
league position this year and Manchester United's league position last year after 5 games.
That prediction hasn't been working out too well (hopefully you didn't think I was
serious...although I'm pretty sure I still managed to annoy some Millwall fans.

This week included two gigantic matches in world football, the North London Derby, Arsenal against
Tottenham, and Ajax against Feyenoord. Pellegrini is a bit safer at Madrid, and Benitez is moving
up the spots in the sack race. While Inter escape to the top of Serie A, seven points above second
place Juventus, Portsmouth start getting the three points needed to start moving up the Premiership
table.

Adam Pearson, the new chairman of Hull City, has told manager Phil Brown that he has one more match
to save his Hull City career.
"The manager was expected to be dismissed after the 2-0 defeat away to Burnley on Saturday, but it
seems he has earned himself a stay of execution for one more game at least because of the woeful
performance of Mike Jones, the referee, at Turf Moor.

The top European Leagues are well into their 2009-10 seasons with the races starting to take
shape. In England, Chelsea remains on top but Manchester United and Arsenal are close behind. In
Spain, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are in a tight battle at the top of the table. The French Ligue
1 and German Bundesliga are very competitive and several teams still in position to make a run for
the league titles.

Last night's Match of the Day was great fun, for obvious reasons.  But as the games wore on,
I couldn't help feel sorry for Hull City.  Here we saw them lose 2-0 at Burnley, and fall victim
to some fairly ordinary refereeing.  When you're struggling these things seem to happen, and
Phil Brown is now under a lot of pressure (as if he wasn't before).

Guidolin has revolutionized Parma, with young Italian players like Paloschi and Galloppa, mixing
with older players that share their experience like Panucci and Zaccardo, Parma has turned into a

consistent side that won't die out after a few more games.
